Always wanted to experience Aman Beijing, finally booked a one night stay. Upon arrival, Jason at the front desk was very helpful and patient in explaining various items and was pleasantly surprised to hear my room had been upgraded. The property and the room are just like the photos but actually physically being there and seeing all the details of the architecture, courtyards, and surrounding nature and birds is like being transported back in time to another era. In this sense, Aman Beijing accomplishes what no other modern five-star luxury hotel can come close to achieving - making one feel a certain emotion or feeling that they've never felt, or perhaps only experienced in their dreams. Everything from the furniture to the layout to the art to the lighting is so tastefully executed and done, the courtyards and grounds are kept immaculate (saw people sweeping away leaves), they even have the older style bicycles available to ride there. Ate at the Chinese restaurant twice, the environment and lighting is so nice, their dumplings are excellent and also really enjoyed some of their soups and vegetable offerings, very delicious. Unfortunately, I was quite sick that day and also had injured my knee the day before. One of the staff at the front desk noticed my limp and asked if I was okay. I told her I was fine, just a little sprain. She went to the back and brought out a traditional Chinese 'Ban Lan Gen' pain relief spray can which she kindly gave to me, saying I could use it and take it with me, very touched. I think it is moments like these which one will remember many years later. All the staff I met there were very kind, during lunch was fortunate enough to meet Ivy, the F&B Manager who was very warm and hospitable. Then during dinner, after I saw down, a restaurant staff asked if I would like an ice pack for my leg, I asked her if she thought it would help and she replied, "Yes." They proceeded to bring out a huge ice pack that was able to wrap around my entire knee, providing instant relief. Finally, when it was time to leave, the very lovely and kind Lucy asked if I would like more ice packs to be sent to my room so I could ice my knee before retiring for the night. Even though I was not feeling well, it was an unforgettable experience due in large part to the kind and wonderful staff there.

The Aman Summer Palace is like living in a fantasy. If you love the Summer Palace but want to avoid the crowds this is your choice. They have their own private gate. The staff are so friendly and the service is just amazing. I would give them more than 5 stars for service If I could. I am an executive for Resort development with Universal and I got a lot of great ideas during my stay. It is very quiet and peaceful and especially at night. I also had one of the best massages I can recall with a Shifu massuer. I am not sure what herbs he was using and I was dubious at first; but the proof is in the results. You just have to stay here at least once in your life!

First of all, I am very satisfied with all kind of service in Aman Summer Palace. All staffs are very kind and sincere. And I praise Jojo Feng who really helped us stay comfortable and enjoyable here. I felt that my family were likely to become part of Ming & Qing dynasty and travel back in the past. Definitely we will visit Aman summer palace again soon. This place really harmonizes with Yiheyuan very well.

Obvious it's been 3 years without international tourists. Time to restart service trainings including language and culture skills.

The location is excellent. It is very convenient to go to the Summer Palace. The hotel is very unique and the catering and service are also very good. I stayed here on my birthday and the room level was upgraded. The room was also decorated. The quiet and beautiful garden room was very relaxing and the photography was excellent. In terms of catering, birthday bags, ice cream, drinks, etc. were also given. I participated in two cultural interest classes, which were so fun... such a happy experience. There was something wrong with the air conditioning. There was no air conditioning for two nights and it was too hot to sleep well.

The hotel is great, the service is very good, and the environment is first-rate. I highly recommend it to families. The Summer Palace is just next door. It couldn't be more convenient. I highly recommend it.

A very satisfying stay. The service staff were very polite and upgraded the room type for free. The hotel has its own access to the Summer Palace. The restaurant attached to the hotel is delicious. I had a SPA in the hotel, which was very comfortable.

The hotel really didn't disappoint. Metro Line 4 is directly accessible and the location is good, making it convenient for travel. The hotel has good details and a pleasant and quiet environment. The breakfast is very special, with customized orders, and the quality and taste of each dish are in place. The Summer Palace across the wall is also very convenient. I was very satisfied with a morning run at 6 o'clock in the morning.

It is like a paradise. Avoid the hustle and bustle of the crowd and stroll in the Chinese courtyard. The ancient and quaint buildings seem to travel back to the Qing Dynasty. The location of outstanding people and beautiful scenery is a blessing. I would like to give a full score to all the service staff for their careful, patient, high-quality and professional service! Just came back from Aman Beijing Summer Palace, I really think this place is amazing! First of all, I have to praise their upgrade service, which upgraded me to a super large room, which was awesome! Their private cinema has to be mentioned, with a rich selection of movies, great picture quality and sound effects, and watching a movie at night is simply a great way to relax. However, there was a small episode, that is, a staff member accidentally entered our room at night. Although it was a misunderstanding, it was indeed a bit embarrassing at the time. But the hotel handled it quickly and the attitude was also very good, which made me feel very comfortable. When it comes to service, the hotel staff are very enthusiastic and thoughtful, which makes people feel very comfortable. So, in general, except for that little episode, I am still very satisfied with my experience at Aman Beijing Summer Palace. Highly recommended to everyone, if you have the opportunity to go to Beijing, this hotel is definitely worth a try!
