The worst stay experience ever. Considering that Starway is a chain store and originally intended to be cheap, I can only advise everyone to avoid this store. This store has the following problems
1. On the first day, the front desk operated the room upgrade irregularly without permission. The elder brother who checked out next to me during check-in said that the soundproofing of the room facing the street was very poor, so the front desk suggested that I could upgrade to a room not facing the street "at my own expense" (I didn't understand this behavior). However, the operation is not to upgrade the room for free or directly pay the price difference, but to register on the Huazhu Club platform and activate a certain level of annual membership. And since I am already a member of the Huazhu Club, I also need someone living with me to do it. I made a reservation with Ctrip. I don’t know if this behavior violates Ctrip’s agreement, and I suspect that this behavior is some kind of assessment indicator given to the front desk by Huazhu Club or the hotel, which makes the experience very unpleasant. 2. On the first day of check-in, a guest complained at the front desk and reported that the aunt who cleaned the room opened the door without permission (opened by mistake). This was another customer who was defending his rights when I checked in. I don’t know the full story and I can’t comment.
3. The health status is worrying. There was a peculiar smell in the corridor on the 5th floor, and the bed sheets had fluff and unwashed marks when I checked in. I contacted the cleaning lady to change the bed sheets and quilts, but the situation was still the same. There was no way to stop it. 4. The Ctrip platform is suspected of receiving positive reviews. This store has a Dianping rating of 3.7, as shown below, which barely matches my stay experience. How did Ctrip’s high scores come about? There are so many people talking about free breakfast and free room upgrade, why do the front desk here insist on paying extra to upgrade the room? So either the front desk lied or the reviews lied.
5. The front desk lied a lot. On the first day, the room upgrade was done at the Huazhu Club. In fact, the check-out time was delayed to the afternoon, but Ctrip still showed it as 12 noon. So the front desk called after 11 o'clock to tell me that I wanted to check out, and said that it couldn't be postponed because "the rooms are full today". I then confirmed my rights after upgrading my room at Huazhu Club. I should check out at 1pm. I also saw that the hotel had "enough rooms" on various platforms, so I contacted the front desk again. This time the manager answered the question and said that it could be postponed. , no problem, no room is full. I'm thinking that your previous and later statements are inconsistent, and there is all kinds of confusion when it comes to upgrading a house. Is this the level?
