Crowne Plaza BEIJING BADALING by IHG

Family trip for May Day holiday. First, we went horseback riding in Huailai in the morning, then drove about 30 minutes to the hotel. I messaged our butler, Cherry, beforehand with our arrival time, hoping for an immediate check-in, and everything went smoothly! The Crowne Plaza Family activities are more suited for younger children, so we didn't opt for a package. We enjoyed the rainbow slide, fishing, go-karts (a bit too childish, like playing house), and swimming. Although the pool is a bit short at 15m, it wasn't too crowded during the holiday, so there was plenty of space to swim. The bathrooms and changing rooms were quite clean. It would be even better if the dirty towels in the changing room could be cleared away promptly instead of piling up! At breakfast, cartoon characters enthusiastically greeted us at the entrance. Even though we're not little kids, we were still delighted – that emotional value was perfectly delivered! Who isn't a child at heart, right? The breakfast food was also good; I particularly enjoyed their rice noodles! I'd like to commend two hotel staff members we interacted with. One was Justin, who handled our check-in. He patiently explained the activities and provided guidance. The other was our butler, Cherry. Although she was very busy, she immediately helped resolve my issues as soon as she had a moment. Having butler service when booking through Ctrip is an excellent value-added service! We will definitely choose this hotel again when we go horseback riding in Huailai in the future!

The room was spacious and very clean. There were plenty of activities for the kids, and Mona and Vivi provided excellent and thoughtful service. Overall, it was a great experience, and my child had a wonderful time.

The environment is beautiful, with lush green lawns in the courtyard and a fishing pond. You can also participate in various craft activities for both adults and children. The swimming pool is free, and most importantly, the dining was unexpectedly good. The breakfast selection was just right, offering a mix of Chinese and Western dishes. For lunch, the à la carte pasta and soup were comparable in quality to a five-star hotel. This is an excellent hotel for a vacation.

Traveling during the off-peak season was a great experience. The Muyun Hot Spring has a wonderful ambiance, and they offer complimentary mineral water and refreshments. It would be even better if there was a fully enclosed walkway from the main building to the hot springs. The room was spacious and bright, and the shower had a rainfall head. Although the breakfast selection wasn't huge, the food was delicious. I'd definitely visit again.

The environment is beautiful and pleasant. The room is spacious, clean, and tidy. I especially want to praise the bathroom layout, which is very practical and convenient. The blackout curtains are not very effective, as there's always light coming through at one end, which is a flaw. The soundproofing is good. Breakfast could be improved; perhaps it's the off-season, but there aren't many food options, and the variety of desserts and pastries is particularly limited. The waitstaff don't actively offer service; they usually ask what you want to drink and then bring it. Hope for improvement.

A tranquil getaway. If you're visiting Badaling, staying in Yanqing is a must, and the various international chain hotels in the area each have their pros. This Crowne Plaza is particularly quiet because it's surrounded by a resort development. The rooms have excellent heating and insulation, which was a real lifesaver when returning to the room after a full day out in the biting cold of early spring.

The room definitely met five-star standards, and so did the service. After booking, Cherry contacted me before check-in to confirm my needs. Seeing that I had two children, she even thoughtfully gave us a go-karting voucher. Any questions I had were answered promptly. The breakfast restaurant was spacious, offered a wide variety of choices, and the quality was excellent. There were also many activities for children. My only slight disappointment was the go-karting service, which was just average; I'm not sure if it's not managed by the hotel. Overall, the new 699 package was incredibly good value for money.

Both the facilities and service meet five-star standards. Any requests were promptly met, the room was quiet, breakfast was good, and the hot spring was also quite nice. There was even a tea break area, which enriched the stay experience. The only minor drawback was the complimentary go-karting, which felt a bit like a 'chicken rib' (something of little value). Adults couldn't really enjoy it, and the track was too small. I suggest upgrading it.
