If you're looking for a hotel where you will be kept up by multiple bars, noisy restaurant, loud guests and staff tidying up until 2am then this is the place for you! It is a great location in Gemmayze, very beautiful building and very tastefully designed, but when I pay hundreds of pounds a night for a room (and this is 400 upwards for the suite) the very minimum I expect is to be able to sleep by midnight. The windows of the bedroom face inwards to the courtyard of the bar and it echoes loudly, as well as being quite bright. Such a shame because this place could have been 4/5 star if the needs of hotel guests were put first. Instead loud drunk people off the street are the priority. Oh and there is no reception to go down and speak to someone about these problems, that is something else which needs to be remedied for this to be a proper functioning hotel.

Just an incredible experience in the heart of Beirut. I stayed at the hotel for a week in November 2023. And the whole team took great care, a big thank you to Sabine who made sure I didn't miss anything. The location of the hotel is great on Rue de Gemmayze, great restaurant, great decor. It all started when we got back after a long day and I found the same stain on my bedsheet. Which means they never change the bedsheets. We’ve booked a suite to get the best service but yet they couldn’t do a good job on the housekeeping. We checked out around 4 pm and I called them around 7 pm to inform them that I forgot my earrings in the room, they said they won’t be able to check as another guest in the room. When they should’ve cleaned the room and kept all the items at lost and found. Next day I called and they informed me they didn’t find anything, when I saw it there the last time. Add to that that I’ve heard same thing happened with other people their things gone missing. I asked them to check who cleaned the room and investigate. Still never got any reply

My fiancée and I enjoyed a wonderful weeklong stay at Arthaus Beirut! Ahmad and Sabine were gracious hosts and approachable with any need that arose. The hotel is beautifully appointed, clean, comfortable, and well located. Breakfast was cooked to order and delightful, WiFi was fast and reliable, and the shower was warm and spacious. The thing that is evident about Arthaus is that they are consistently maintaining and developing the property without obscuring its historical character. This makes for a charming boutique hotel experience. I absolutely recommend it if you are looking for a unique and comfortable stay in Beirut.

A small oasis of art and gastronomy in the middle of the chaos of Beirut. Located at the end of a cul-de-sac, the restaurant, art rooms and garden make up a really pretty complex. The food is of very good quality and the service is good. A fantastic experience that was only somewhat clouded by the construction (and the resulting noise) that is being carried out.
