Miralago B&B and Apartments

This was our second visit to Hotel Miraligo, the first being 5 years ago. We knew all about the steps so this wasn’t a problem for us. This time we had rooms with balconies, a must do for the fabulous view. Francesca was a great host & helped us with things we needed to do whilst in Bellagio. We also booked a hire boat through her brother whilst there. Our holiday was part of a 7 hotel tour & this hotel served the best croissants by a mile out of all of them! Ordering breakfast in the evening was a little strange to start with but we got used to it & doing it this way saves waste! We had beer & Prosecco on the patio in the new sheltered area every night & we’re even treated to the most spectacular storm! We will definitely go back here.

Very nice and clean B&B. Francesca was so friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent. Beautiful patio to relax on. Beautiful view. A nice 10-minute walk to town. Would highly recommend staying here and we would definitely stay here again.

This is a lovely hotel. Very clean and good size rooms. It is on the lake but fails to mention how many steps to get back to the main part of Bellagio. After ascending all the steps from the harbour there are another 200 steps to get to this hotel as it is located on opposite of the harbour. There are initially over 50 steps up from the road then 150 down and a short walk from the bottom but you have to do this in reverse to get back to main drag. Taxis don't do short trips. We are two 60 plus ladies fairly fit but it was daunting. Ballagio is full of steps but you can walk as far left as you can go and go up a staples hill.

Nice B&B with clean, fresh rooms, and helpful staff. The hotel is quite close to the center, only about 10 minutes walk which is quite nice during the evening as you do not experience the noise from the center.

Very nice, air conditioned, apartment. Would recommend if you’re staying in Bellagio for several days. However, a couple of issues. The apartment is about a 15 minute walk uphill from the ferry, and taxi service in Bellagio is very limited. You may be able to take the tourist train to/from, but the apartment may be difficult to access if you have a lot of luggage. Also, you are required to wash, dry, and put away any dishes you use, which is a pain at the end of the stay.

Summary of our stay at one of the apartments: We were given a different apartment than we had confirmed, but the owner, rudely, denied this was the case. The ‘welcome’ from the female host was cold and more like we were an inconvenience than paying customers. The ‘lake view’ was only visible from the bedroom and largely obscured by a tree. The kitchen area had no natural light and the living room had old, outdated furniture and a completely impractical layout (small sofa with a dining table and four chairs between that and the TV) The second twin room (unnecessary for us luckily), is in the basement and down a steep flight of stone stairs. We weren’t provided any basics for a self catering stay. A dishwasher, but no tablets, a coffee machine, but no pods, washing up sponge, but no drying up cloth. When they have a sign up saying they’ll charge €30 if you don’t clean everything and return it to the cupboard before check out then perhaps providing some materials to do that properly would be appreciated?! The bed is very uncomfortable, sagging in the middle and the pillows were like rock. The outdoor furniture was either covered in debris or so old and rickety it felt risky using it. If you are looking to stay somewhere welcoming and comfortable with decent customer service then choose another local establishment and avoid this one.

We had a wonderful stay at Miralago B&B. The views from our room were stunning and the staff is absolutly amazing. They were very kind to us and gave us very Good advice. I highly recommend this b&b :)
