Hotel Villa Traiano

Struttura potenzialmente bella ma con costo esagerato: tutto a pagamento extra. La spa chiusa da mesi ma ancora pubblicizzata. Lavandino e doccia otturati e sicuramente chi fa pulizie non può non accorgersene. Da rivedere decisamente:io non sono riuscita nemmeno ad accedere al Wi-Fi e mi e’ stato suggerito di provare ad andare nel corridoio. Non faccio mai recensioni negative ma questo, anche per il costo molto alto, la merita. Spero come stimolo a migliorare ciò’ che non va.

L'hotel villa Traiano è un'ottima soluzione per visitare Benevento. Situato in pieno centro dispone di belle camere ben arredate, funzionali e dotate di tutti i comfort. Colazione ottima. Ambiente molto cordiale e grande disponibilità del personale. Consigliatissimo.

The hotel has a lot of charm but also needs some work. I'm small but the shower is really small in a big bathroom. This is a little uncomfortable. Breakfast is ok but without much variety and what is really missing are very hot drinks. But in general the hotel is good!

Absolutely not 4 stars. Nice outside but once in the room it's a completely different story. Room with very few lights, and some burned out, dust and a mix of antique and modern furniture. Double bed arched in the center with a practically sagging mattress. Bathroom with damaged fixtures and clogged tub/shower drain. Water infiltrations causing the paint to fall from the wall and wooden door to be replaced (see photo). Breakfast in a cold room with little assortment. Advertised with Spa and Fitness Area which however have been under maintenance for some time. The only positive note was the staff, who were very kind and helpful. Sorry, but you expect more from a 4 star hotel.

Comfortable hotel a stone's throw from the center (I had a room with two windows overlooking Trajan's arch, truly exciting), rooms with slightly dated furnishings but with great attention to cleanliness. Friendly, courteous and helpful staff, thanks for all the suggestions for the restaurants where I dined. Very good breakfast, thanks to Consiglia for all the desserts she prepared, a different one every day (the coconut balls were truly top!). Parking along the street is free but the hotel also has a garage accessible from a side street.

This is how I would define the hotel. Given that it is clear that it was a nice hotel, at the moment, it cannot be considered anything other than adequate and certainly NOT a 4 star hotel. Too expensive for the services it doesn't offer. The room defined as "Premium" had the following characteristics: radiator not working in the bathroom (but equipped with an electric heater), lights not working, shower with water leaks every time used, towels with which it was possible to scrub. In addition, the room was located on a lower floor accessible only via (impervious) stairs and without a lift. The hotel has paid parking (it is not possible to park on the street) which can be accessed with considerable difficulty as it is in a very narrow street. The location however is strategic, a few steps from the centre. The only note that made everything bearable was the lady in charge of breakfast (Concilia) who baked delicious cakes, biscuits, frappe and various desserts in the morning (otherwise stale fruit, very little choice of teas and poor yoghurt). In addition, to the hotel manager to whom my sisters and I turned to point out everything that was wrong, I would recommend a professional refresher course because in addition to making excuses (he was not aware of the state of the room) he did not didn't even have the delicacy to apologize but only the arrogance of someone who is used to self-celebrating without EVER questioning themselves (which the very courteous and helpful cleaning lady instead did). In short, I highly recommend avoiding this hotel and instead looking for an alternative, an Agriturismo or something else.
