Stayed at the JW Marriott, Bengaluru for 8 nights with family. We had a lovely time at this hotel. I'll briefly review below some of the items we liked and didn't like at the hotel. LOCATION: The hotel's at a very good location, within walking distance of Brigade Road and Church Street, which are good restaurant and shopping areas. It's also right next to the UB Mall, which has high-end shopping and a few restaurants. Cubbon Park is right across from the hotel. ROOM: The room is quite spacious and well appointed. We didn't find that it had enough drawers for storage, despite all the real estate in the room. Plus the drawers had a musty smell, so we didn't use them during our stay. The bathrooms had all the expected conveniences, including an overhead rain shower. However, it only had a single sink, which is not a deal breaker. We were given a balcony room, which overlooked cubbon park and had an amazing view. Housekeeping was simply amazing. Hats off to Manish and his housekeeping team--the absolutely best in the industry! Manish would decorate the room uniquely each nice, making it a splendid surprise each night. Loved it! BREAKFAST BUFFET: The spread was enormous, with extensive choices of both Indian and contiental fare. I found ITC Gardenia had better flavored Indian food, but the choices at JW were significantly more than Gardenia. The Junior Sous Chef, Bipul Deka, was super attentive and extremely helpful in catering to our dietary needs. The wait staff, especially Simsam, Riju, Ayusina, Dorina, Sakuntala and Ravindra were very warm, courteous and very attentive to our needs. Great staff at the restaurant! FRONT DESK: The staff at the JW were quite impressive. They have guest relations staff (similar to ITC Gardenia) that are very welcoming. Hats off to Bandna--she's the very best! I'd also like to recognize Shreyas, and Ajeya who were super helpful during our stay. DOWNSIDE: The big downside is that the JW hosts weddings and other outside activities and this makes the lobby and elevators extremely crowded and noisy, especially on weekends. I stayed at ITC Gardenia and Conrad iduring this same trip and felt that they were not as busy. Overall, loved this place and would visit again!
