I will try to be brief about this impressive experience: The reception was hopelessly overwhelmed with our wedding party because the IT system had broken down and would not be working again until mid-September at the earliest (we are in mid-August). Other guests were already visibly nervous when we arrived. It will be an interesting 4 weeks for the staff. In the first room we were greeted by several hundred ants in the room, on the walls, in the bed, on the pillows and on the blanket. This prompted us to change rooms. The next room had the same foot odor as our first, as another guest had previously noted at reception when he was dissatisfied with his room. The staff explained this by the old carpets in all the rooms. No real consolation for the odors of a star hotel. When we arrived in our hotel room at night after the wedding, the bed linen in the second room smelled so strongly of damp bed linen that had not been properly aired ("stick") that I went back to the porter, quite tired. This gentleman was the only consolation during the whole time and, at 2:30 a.m., he really tried to look after his guests. Thank you for this great service and his effort. I can't remember his name, so there's another star in the review. The musty smell apparently came not only from the covers, but also from the non-allergenic bedding (we had ordered allergy-friendly bedding in advance). Oh well. It was already after 3 a.m. and I stopped trying to improve things. (Restaurant: dry and lightly topped tarte flambée, over 30 minutes waiting time with no one else in the restaurant and 4 people behind the bar)
