The location is great right by the water. The 2 bed condo is very large and very fun during the day although feels a little creepy at night, but maybe that's just because of the area we're in. It would have been cool to be able to go up to the attic since it overlooks the living room, but perhaps that's not accessible for safety reasons.

We had an excellent enjoyable stay at this hotel. It’s literally walking distance to the lake and the community per se it’s a convenient and perfect place to spend time with the family in beautiful Big Bear.

Location was great. Honestly I would not book again. Building 3 had a fly trap but it just attracted all the flies and anytime we’d open our door we’d get about 5 flies into our room.
Cleanliness is the reason why I wouldn’t go back. I got bed bugs as well. I slept with my children in the room so specially that bed, but my husband slept on the pull out couch (super thin mattress and uncomfortable, which is expected unfortunately) but he didn’t get bed bug bites.
The only good thing is that we were there for Fourth of July and being lakeside the view was amazing both morning and evening.

Payed for room with lake view, but had a solid row of tails. Could only enjoy the sounds of the lake. Also requested a top floor room weeks in advance. Thinking back when we made the reservations the representative did not have a good knowledge of the property.

The first day was great. Then the fire broke out and the air quality was too bad to hike. Then on day three we were ordered to evacuate the area as the fire was close to spreading to our area. So not a good experience. Of course it is not the fault of Lagonita Lodge, but not idea to go in September or fire season.

Pro: Friendly staff, nice amenities, location, and activities for families, cable television, stocked kitchen, large pull out sofa and nice balcony, & vacuum.
Cons: no air condition. They give you a fan, buy it's not enough and can get really hot at night even with fan blasting and windows open. Carpet can use some replacement or shampooing.
