The room is big and the apartment is old. The kitchen has everything including a washing machine and dryer.

What a magnificent resort! So spectacularly clean and thoughtfully equipped apartments . Grounds are lovely and gardens beautifully manicured. Pool stunning . The staff were so accommodating and helpful in guiding us on all the lovely eating establishments close by . And the beach and harbour views! Perfect holiday for friend , families or solo. Thank you Sandcastles
Response from Property: Thank you, Leigh. You forgot to mention that we also tend to attract awesome guests. We are happy that you enjoyed your time with us and enjoyed all that Sandcastles and its amazing location have to offer. :)

on the 16/2/2024 I called to speak with the reception Trish was very unprofessional no customer service at all. She was upset and angry that I put the nasty review without approaching them she hang up on me when I haven't finished talking to her yet. Herr customer service is very poor and what I said on my review was all correct with the photos attached. I checked in late afternoon to a dirty apartment there is no excuse for that. The location was amazing opposite the beach. The unit itself was number 330 let me tell you it was good for a family of 6people, but it wasn’t clean at all it was disgusting our on suite bedroom was dirty and had cockroach, the bathroom was mouldy and dirty as they didn’t even provide us with enough shampoo, conditioner and soap for showering that is just the basics. Then I go to the second bedroom and it was too hot there we take out the fan and you can’t sleep from the noise the fan makes. I go to see the second bathroom and it is filthy as mouldy as if it hasn’t been clean for months. The most disgusting thing is the kitchen every plate or mug we took out of the cupboard it was dirty we had to wash everything. Not happy at all, there was no one to talk to as we went a day before Australia Day and left on a Monday at 4am.
Response from Property: This review is so factually incorrect that it does not warrant a response. All reviews are subjective but some people use them as a tool to air petty grievances. The assumption that "customer is always right" has truly had its day. I suggest either reviewer either fork out the money for 5 - 6 star establishments that may meet their expectations or stay home.

It's just very dirty. Needs some integrity of what it's advertised as, and what it is. Normally, I didn't think someone could rent a house as a holiday unit looking like this and get away with it. Rude after hours staff. Just from the start, the dusty bedsides confirmed what I could smell and feel under my feet disgustingly dirty. They clearly are getting away with it. I am so happy to say, I won't ever be back.
Response from Property: Well Fiona. Lets be honest. You are not from Thailand. Once we cut through it all, the only honest and truthful thing in here is that you wont be back. Yahoo.!!!! You are not paying for a 5 star resort, with housekeeping daily. You are paying for a 3.5 star self catering apartment and we do not provide housekeeping daily to clean up after you and your son. Our after hours service team are very professional and also found you rude and abrasive. It cracked us up that you wrote your review while you were still in house, but I guess you realised we were no longer going to pander to your unreasonable demands. Any discerning reader of your review will realise it is an anomaly, but as you have proved, some people are beyond helping.

We stayed in 3 bedroom apartment and it was perfect. There was plenty of room for our family and we enjoyed beautiful views from the two balconies. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The pool is a decent size and the spa was hot. Pool hours are are great - 7am to 10pm. The location is ideal - right on the beach but far enough away from busy Surfers. Heaps of food options in walking distance and its just down the road from Harbour Town. Highly recommend.
Response from Property: Thank you Lauren for your kind feedback. Happy to hear you had a great stay with us. WE would love to welcome you back again!

Helpful staff, secure parking. Nice walk along the beach to Cafes & Restaurants. Playground across the road & bus stop at the gate. Supermarket easy fifteen minute walk . Stayed here without a car no problem. Bus ride to Harbour Town only three minutes. Great fresh fish & chip shop two minutes away.
Response from Property: Thank you for taking the time to review us. We love our resort and location and we are happy that it met your expectations. Our location on the GC has lots to offer with so much within walking distance and public transport out the front.

The good … was the bbq facility, the beds were comfy even though our View was of the traffic lights! We had a big courtyard (which the grandkids enjoyed with their bubble wands) nice kitchen Now the Bad … no lifts so we opted ground floor, we are in our 60’s. the bedroom sliding balcony door was a metre from outside stairs, so anyone coming down stairs sees into bedroom, had to keep blinds closed entire stay as mirrored wardrobe reflected us in the bathroom as well! I thought the pool was heated. NO. And the stairs to get in pool (which were very steep) were in the middle of shallow bit, but NO bar to hold on to! So I didn’t end up going fully in very disappointing. The grandkids had fun though. The spa was small but ok. Ended up cancelling my Easter booking and opted for The Grand Apartments up the road. Definately has heated pool and beautiful views. Went in December wasn’t dissappointed

Firstly let me say the Check In Lady was amazing. So nice and helpful 5/5 for her. That is pretty much where my compliments end. The pool and grounds are really nice and well kept, the pool is a really decent size and it is heated which is great. The room was quite terrible. We got a 3BR and it was on the top floor - there are no elevators which we knew when booking but it's still a long way up with luggage and kids. The room is dated - VERY dated. Everywhere you look there is paint missing, chipped timber and plaster, marked walls, hooks with nothing on them etc. Dust is everywhere, nothing is clean except for "surfaces" We lost the remote for the TV and put our hand in the sofa and pulled out peanuts and popcorn, under the sofa was a huge hair ball! Honestly it was quite disgusting. Behind the TV is about a years worth of dust. The TV is a "smart tv" but it doesn't work. I tried 4 different apps and 3 different internet connections all you get is "unable to load program" for everything. Very annoying when it's raining out and trying to keep kids occupied. Beds are super uncomfortable and clearly very old. Lumpy and hard. The road noise is intense, so much so it is almost impossible to sleep, all the blinds are missing strips (vertical blinds) in each and every room, so heaps of light gets in as well as people being able to see inside from the appartments across the street. The rooms ARE NOT at all what is pictured on the websites. Our main bedroom had a huge crooked picture, the lamps have no shades - just bulbs hanging off them, the shower is from the 70's or earlier with the smallest shower head I've ever seen in my life, It was really hard to have a good shower. For what we paid for this place I'm not happy at all. The spa on our balcony is so old I am afraid to use it for fear of getting sick, it looks NOTHING like the images in the pictures. The door that opens to the balcony is fused shut from being swollen with water so you have to use the sliding door only. The entire place really needs to be closed for a year and completely refurbished especially if you're charging people over $200 a night for something that isn't even clean.

We enjoyed our overnight stay in Sandcastles in first floor apartment 123 overlooking the broad water. Based on a few previous reviews we weren't sure what to expect so we were very pleasantly surprised and delighted by this lovely clean and decent sized apartment! The grounds are very well kept, the pool was clean and lovely to swim in, and Megan and Trish were very nice. Labrador is at the more relaxed northern end of the Gold Coast and we enjoyed walking to the local restaurants for lunch and dinner. Would be happy to stay here again and recommend it for travellers who aren't desperate for non-stop entertainment, bright lights and high-rise buildings.

Our 3 bdrm apartment was very spacious. The master bedroom was upstairs with an outdoor spa and a huge balcony with a lovely view over the water. The other bedrooms were roomy with another lovely balcony and dining setting. Although the apartment was homely , it was very dirty, in urgent need of a clean and paint, with so many things broken, such as chairs, cupboards, lampshades, etc. Ashame, as it could be luxurious, but it's the dirtiest apartment we've ever stayed at. Reception staff friendly.
