The hostel is in the old town, so it's very convenient to go out, but the windows are old and you can hear too much of the voices from the streets! It is basic, the rooms have enough space for 6 people, the mattresses average. The bathrooms are too small for an entire floor. They don't have a stool or a shelf to put your clothes or your necessities on. There is no plastic mat for when you get out of the shower, so everything stays wet. Superficial cleaning and cleaning in the bathroom should be done at least 2 times a day. The bathroom doors are open up and down, and you are right in front of the only sink, so privacy is totally zero! Also something that they don't decorate it at all pretty and that there are pipes that pass above your head on all sides. The entrance hall is beautiful

We arrived via the airport bus and found the accommodation easily thanks to reading the reviews beforehand. It is a doorway with a many signs including one for Bilbao city rooms. The rooms are on floors 4 and 5 with Reception on the 4th. Check in was fast and simple with a warm welcome from the lady at reception. The whole two floors have well lit clean corridors and the lift is great. The room was a very clean well presented modern double with a large shower room and plenty of storage. The window s can be opened and I like other reviews mentioning the heat and the ceiling fan... we can say it’s chilly at night but the heating does come on at ten! The location of these room is very central and excellent l. Great transport links if needed but we walked all around the old and new parts of the city with the Guggenheim, bars and restaurants all on our doorstep. Shopping in Bilbao is fantastic and dint be afraid to visit the 2nd hand stores .. some amazing finds!!!

We booked a “Deluxe Room with Guggenheim views” for 5 nights and were lodged in room 52, on the 5th floor, a room facing the street and indeed offering a nice view of Guggenheim museum and its iconic Puppy. Our room was reasonably sized although quite compact and furnished in a minimalistic style. Thick curtains intriguingly divide the room in two parts: corridor / bathroom on one side, bedroom on the other. The very same curtains hide away the wardrobe, the drawers, the fridge and the safe box. Our stay was comfortable although we struggled a bit over the weekend because of the poor soundproofing from external and internal noises. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast tasty, service good. Excellent location along the river, near the Guggenheim & Calatrava’s Bridge and approx. 1 km from the old town. During our stay we had dinner at: Serrantes II (Al. de Urquijo, 51); Victor Montes (Plaza Nueva 8); Waman (Avenida Madariaga, 5) and Eneko Basque (Gran Vía de Don Diego López de Haro, 4). All of them within 20-30 min walk from the hotel. We were particularly impressed by Victor Montes (traditional cuisine) & Waman (Peruvian cuisine).

I am satisfied with my one night stay in this hostel. We booked a 6 bed female dorm and we were just 3 which was good. It was spacious and the bathroom inside it is also big. People at the reception were kind and answered our questions about the public transport and let my friend leave her luggage there after check out. The hostel works with a code for the main door and one for the bedroom door. Our only complaint was the beds which made noise when we moved. So it can easily wake others up. And also the location is a bit strange but very central.

The room is very small, except for towels, all other personal items are not provided, even the water cup is not provided, this is the first time I have encountered this, too strange.
Breakfast is quite satisfactory, no vegetable salad, others are good.
Good location, very convenient to go out and eat and drink.
The pillow was particularly uncomfortable and felt that the pillowcase was full of gas.
The general evaluation is average, will not stay next time.

Location is about 15 to 20 minutes from the center. I was a little worried about security as it was far from the center, but there was nothing in particular. It may be better not to be too late for a woman alone.
The room was large and clean and easy to spend.
Towels, hair dryers and hair body wash are provided. Since it is not separated as a shower room, I am prepared to be bishabisha in that area. There is a TV, but there is no refrigerator.
The bed was too soft and not too hard and I was easy to sleep ◎
The response of the front desk was also good!

Interesting experience. Location great for bus station and tram so easy access anywhere. Spotlessly clean, friendly reception. Weirdest shaped room I've ever been in! Bed good. Shower good. All a bit tight for space but for what I paid it's great value for a solo traveller. Major drawback is the buzzing fusebox in the room which is only solved by removing the room card which knocks the room power off. Not a problem when sleeping but keep your phone handy to use as a torch if you need to go to the toilet and so need to slot the key card back in place for room lighting. If you get a great rate I'd choose here all day but if not perhaps I'd look elsewhere to see what's on offer. Bars/restaurants and shops in easy walking distance.

A pleasant surprise this hotel next to the San Mames stadium, close enough to many points of interest in Bilbao. Very clean and with everything you need in the room and good quality as well. Breakfast was excellent with everything you could want, local specialities, champagne and wine, orange juice freshly squeezed, hot chocolate, a wide range of special teas, home made cookies and pastries, everything so tasty and diverse that it was a very difficult choice. The staff everywhere in the hotel was polite and helpful. Highly recommended for services and quality.

The hotel is situated between a motorway on the back and a busy road in front of the hotel. The windows in the rooms have good noise insulation, however, if you will find it difficult to sleep with open windows due to the excess traffic noise, which I had to since the air-conditioning is reportedly only operative during “summer” times, even though the rooms were blistering hot due to sunshine and 25 °C temperature outside. Breakfast starts at 7 o’clock, which is rather late, and a lot of craftsmen and other business travelers were already queuing up before 7 o’clock. The breakfast buffet is good; however, the scrambled egg is served cold in a bowl without heating ☹ I had to extend my stay with two extra days, however, the two complementary bottles of water in the room were not replenished; I was told only two bottles of water were provided regardless of length of stay and that I could just drink tap water, which is O.K. if you like the taste of chlorine ☹ Beware that parking in the hotel’s parking cellar is quite expensive and they don’t advertise the price on the website. The staff were friendly and English their speaking skills satisfactory.

CClimber67228150225Good location, around a 10 min walk from the old town. Nice hotel, clean, modern. Had a family suite which was large. Staff were friendly. Small gym if you wanted a work out. Breakfast was good. Took the airport bus which was about a 15 min walk from the hotel. Ate at Hamburguerisa which was nice for a change - fancy burgers effectively, nice food even though the service was pretty awful. Also had some snacks at Las Muns which were tasty and ice cream at Nossi-Be which was on the way to old town.

GGuest UserThe most successful hotel booked in Spain this time, the room is very spacious, there is a direct water dispenser on each floor, the room has a coffee machine, and capsules are available every day. The hotel's service is also very good and the front desk is very warm. It takes about ten minutes to walk to the subway station.

PParadise35871983028When we first checked in the staff was friendly and helpful, the lobby is cozy and has free water and a coffee machine. Our room was bigger than we expected and came with everything, toothbrushes, shower cap and comb etc. We asked the front desk for an iron and it came within 5 minutes, great service! The shower was really nice and spacious and the beds were amazing. I suffer from insomnia and the beds were perfectly soft and the comforter was so comfortable I just wanted to stay in bed all day. For the price the breakfast was really good, the only downside was that it seemed a little bit understaffed. My favorite part about the breakfast was the pastry selection, the donuts and cakes were amazing, it tasted better than some pastries I bought from bakeries. Bonus points for providing pads and tampons in the women’s bathroom. The location is pretty good, it’s near the main shopping street and an el corte ingles, it’s also not far from the train station.

GGuest UserI needed my boyfriend to stay over while I was traveling and this was the perfect place. This isn't a 5-star hotel, but it did the trick and we were very comfortable - here is why. PROS - Coming from Bilbao Airplane or taking Bus?...: It is close to 2 blocks from Bilbao Intermodal and if you are coming from the airport, this hotel is an easy walk from where the bus drops you off in San Mamés. The location is also SUPER safe. - Transportation: If you look down the street and cross it, you will also see the tram station along with the metro station. - Food?: There is food everywhere. This is Bilbao. Spend 2 euros (or really please buy a Barik card) and go into the city, you won't be disappointed. The best part about the tram is that it goes theoretically left or right. I live close to NYC so I understand it can be complicated, but the system in Bilbao, chef's kiss. - Bed/Room: Pro? The bed/room you get in sleek, modern, and for a REALLY CHEAP PRICE! Please don't hassle your way into spending a lot of money on a hotel in Spain. It is not truly worth it. Just get this place, feel comfortable, and safe. - Staff? There are not many, but the ones that are there will help and accommodate you. You just need to be nice. I say this because I went in to check in and someone was being helped. They weren't that nice to staff, so please remember, we are all human. CONS - Cleaning: I will say, the bathrooms were clean, but the headboard for me was dusty. It might have been that the room wasn't used a lot. But please don't worry, it did not effect my stay considering the price was reasonably cheap. - THE ENTRANCE!: You need to understand, their rating is a 2/5 stars but it is NOT because they are bad, in Spain it is based on what the hotel/hostels have and DON'T have. So what they don't have is a front reception. Listen closely if you are going to go here. Once you get on the street, you will need to buzz into the door as if you are requesting to go to someone's apartment. OR they will give you a code before hand. GGuest UserA pleasant apartment in a quiet neighborhood with friendly reception. Nearby is a supermarket, coffee maker and a good bar/restaurant. Also transport to the center is easy with bus 38 (exit 1st stop after t complex) or metro.
The complex is also a little noisy (contact sounds and stinging doors), the apartment does not work as a apartment, because there are no kitchen stuff, no cleaning and soaps, etc.
The latter need not be insurmountable and then the price-quality ratio is good.
Well, I wonder how the noise is when the students are back.

Ppu30heThe location is great. In the core of Bilbao New Town, there is a parking lot on one or two streets. The overall decoration of the hotel is simple and warm. It has just been renovated in recent years. However, due to the old facilities of the building, it is inevitable that you can smell some kerosene-like smell in the bathroom. - The hostel was really nice but… our reservation was for a standard room for 8 people. We were travelling with 7 people so we thought we would be able to sleep in the same room. When we arrived they told us they split the people who reserved the rooms as they like. Resulting in 6 people of our group in the same room and one girl who had to sleep alone in an another room with 7 other random people. We told them and showed them multiple times that according to our reservation (and according to our conformation mail) we reserved a room for 8 people. We also told them that it wasn’t right to advertise the room as if we would be placed in the same chamber and then separate us into a room of 6 and one person who had to sleep alone. The only solution they offered us was putting a separate matras on the floor. So my advise would be: you can absolutely stay in this hostel but keep in mind that there is a big possibility that you will be separated from your traveling buddies without getting an advance notice.
