We had a very comfortable stay in Hotel Carlton. It’s my third time to stay there. The location is fantastic. The whole experience is special. The rooms are very spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. Tea & coffee making facilities in the room are very much appreciated. The little bar is nice for a nightcap after a night out. I’ll certainly stay again

Although it is a single room, the area is not small.
The hotel has a first-class location, right next to the airport bus station, on the small square, and convenient to go everywhere. You can walk to the old town and the museum river.
However, although this hotel is a five-star hotel, it does not have a swimming pool. The breakfast is expensive at 26 euros and is relatively simple (by five-star standards).

I missed having a toothbrush in the bathroom, it is true that we asked for it and it was given to us, I did not like the night reception service, however the guy in the morning, Erik, and the baggage attendant were very nice both two

Great hotel in the centre of Bilbao.I note previous reviews. Our experience was only positive. Greeted warmly . Spacious bedroom. Excellent bathroom. Absolutely superb breakfast with huge choice.( there were 10 different fresh pastries to choose). Even car parking on site. Around the hotel you are immediately into the centre of Bilbao with all its liveliness and good humour. Guggenheim 15 minutes walk. I do note that hotel refurbishment is on going . They are retaining the original atmosphere yet improving its functions. Well done
