I travel a lot and spend around 150 days in hotels around the world. I expected more from a 5-star hotel. Positive: the location right on the beach, perfect breakfast, first-class staff. I didn't like the room facilities: the furnishings were OK, the electrical fittings were outdated (the same as they were 20 years ago), the bathroom was OK but nothing special for a 5-star hotel, the bed... well... you can feel the feathers. The pillows and blankets take some getting used to, the elevator is broken... all in all I would say: 3 stars + but nothing more. It wasn't a mistake to book this hotel (when the weather was nice 😉)

If you travel a lot and when you enter the hotel, see the room and will be served at the reception then you will see right away, that this is not by far a 5 star hotel. The hotel was not full so I kindly asked if I could have a sea view room " not possible ", I also kindly asked what time is the breakfast " everything is in the flyer ". I strongly believe a customer service training is needed! Besides the hotel simply does not have the 5 star quality, interior, design etc. Only the location is stunning. Pitty.

Proud price to pay for a place that has seen its peak many moons ago. Tired, worn without upgrades or the attempt of a “let’s be 5 star”. I do not know who gave this joint the star rating, but I give it a 3.5 max. They charge through the nose for a mostly terrible service. Table service at breakfast not existing. If you ask for something it becomes a job with an eye roll by the staff. Room we “purchased” … worn carpet, furnishings late 90’s, TV no internet capable old Samsung 40”, no cutlery with a mini bar containing nothing but a beer, a piccolo and a soft drink. Bedding is horrid and uncomfortable, sheets quilt are a total failure. It’s a bloody joke. Air con? Bathtub ? Functioning internet? Room clean up and fresh towels ..nada!!! Did I mention the parking? Park house is full … so park where you can if you step out later than 8pm. I don’t mind paying for a good hotel .. But this is surely a massive ripoff for what you get … and you need to wait for the check in til 4pm. My advise… well yes you guessed it. Run like smokin oakin.

Family trip to Binz
Great location in Binz with short walks to everything you need, esp. the beach right outside of the hotel. The breakfast and bbq buffet was outstanding.
The rooms are a bit dated by now. Very small toiletries, esp. for stays for more than 1 day.

the Hotel is located in a great spot. The location is quiet and easy to access.
Unfortunately, the Hotel does not comply with international rating/Star system. It shows 5 Stars, but the 5 Stars relate to the German DEHOGA system and not to the International Star rating system.
Rooms have no air condition; bathrooms are poorly equipped with only very basic and cheap toiletry products. The shower system was of low quality including the shower curtain. The matrass in our room were old and spent and produced back pain. The door handles, flooring, etc. showed wear and tear.
Many of the working staff are foreigners with very limited German language skills (Asian and East European).
The restaurant menu is very limited and not up to the proclaimed Hotel evaluation stars.
This Hotel needs urgently a full restauration and improvement what the general standard is concerned.

Elegant modern Grand Hotel in Binz located at the end of the beachfront promenade. The walk into the town centre was kinda long. Otherwise the location was nice, across from the beach. The room was large and well appointed, only a few signs of wear and tear, like scratches on the furniture. Unfortunately the spots on the carpeting were many and large. The bathroom was bright and clean. Breakfast buffet was nice, and an individual choice of various egg dishes was available upon request. Big plus, the glass of sparkling wine to start the day.
