The service is great when it's not busy, and the front desk staff are quite enthusiastic. I stay here often; even though it's a bit old, it's quiet, safe, and clean. It's a place I'll keep coming back to!

The hotel's location isn't great. You have to go through a park, and it's quite out of the way, so it's best to take an Uber. However, the environment is decent, and it's a chain hotel, so it's pretty well-managed. The bed is quite comfortable, and the cleanliness is good.
The overall space is a bit small. Luggage storage is very insecure; it's just a pile in a storage room with no labels and no one watching over it. The air conditioning in the room blows directly onto your head, which is a bit uncomfortable, and there's no outlet next to the bed for charging. Overall, besides being clean and tidy, everything else is just so-so. I booked it to save some money, but now I think I should have just booked a place near New Street Station.
Birmingham, though, is a nice city. It's not too expensive, and there are plenty of places to explore.

Stayed 1 night, had evening meal in restaurant which was lovely and hot. Room was good and had no issues.

We had a lovely stay. And receptionists very helpful. My own worry was that the website shows that there is an indoor heated pool. It might help to clarify that this is not available at an express hotel.
