Does exactly what you need for a one or two night stay. A bit cramped to stay any longer but perfect for an affordable over night when seeing a show or event

Very clean and modern. I had a room without a window, which was fine. Bed was a little firm for my comfort, but lots of pillows, soft fluffy towels & nice bathroom products plus hairdryer & full length mirrors were provided. Bathroom was a wet room with a bit of an awkward shower if you don't want to wet your hair & bathroom gets totally wet. Located in the heart of the jewellery quarter.

It was very good the room was nice the staffs were friendly.

Location - Great location in the Jewellery Quarter (JQ). JQ is a nice part of Birmingham with some good bars and cafes and good tram access to the city centre. If you’re not from Birmingham it might be a bit out of the centre for your liking, at least a 20 minute walk from the city centre. Size - I went for the apartment which was 20m2. Bloc is designed on ‘Japanese space saving techniques’ and you can tell. This was the largest room they had available and I thought it was comfortable for one, but it’s marketed for two which would be a bit cramped in my opinion. Layout - Nicely furnished inside and very clean. Plenty of fresh towels and a nice en-suite shower room (albeit low water pressure). A bedroom and living room tv although these only have Freeview, which seemed apartment as the room is presented as ‘high-tech’, with lights and TV being controlled by a touchscreen. (It’s also easier to control the TV with the standard remote). Amenities - Two complementary bottles of water, some tea and coffee sachets, milk sachets and lotus biscuits in the room. A microwave available (in apartment, possibly not in double room). Hairdryer and coat hangers in the room but couldn’t see any iron or ironing board - perhaps available on request but would be nice for guests on business trips to have this in the room. Sleep - Reasonably comfortable bed for a short stay. Can heard rain dripping outside the window throughout the night despite windows closed which may disturb light sleepers, otherwise a quiet location. Value - Great value considering the prime location and the relatively spacious size for the price.

Would stay again for ease as it is close enough to city centre Access to the building is done via the link sent to you through email. Bathroom is a wet room which was okay. There’s also no wardrobes in the room and it is quite compact. Ideal for a one night trip.

Very contemporary hotel with dark corridors. The double room I booked was ridiculously small. Had to upgrade to an ‘apartment’ - the young blond guy (sorry forgot his name) on the desk was brilliant in facilitating this at reasonable cost and gave excellent customer service. The ‘apartroom’ was great except for the very complicated tv’s which were difficult to operate and the harsh lighting - needed more soft lighting and lamps. Bed lovely, room immaculately clean. Small kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, complimentary porridge and drinks in fridge was a welcome bonus. Area around had no small food shops, although there were quite a few places to eat.

Small rooms, but you get what you pay for and it’s very clean. Ideal for a very short break and in a great part of the city.

Nice clean room. Comfortable bed. Big TV. Very modern. Very small for the price. Glass bathroom door means no privacy. Bathroom is a wet room so everything gets soaked. Good for single people.

Stayed here several times now the apartment room is fantastic has everything we need & so spacious. The quality of the linen & towels is excellent. The extra snacks & kitchnette area superb. Staff are so friendly & helpful nothing too much trouble. Check out midday or 2pm or 6 pm love it they have thought of everything.

First time at a Bloc hotel, but very impressed by the concept and simplicity of usage. Doing everything online was easy and intuitive. One slight issue is the design of the bathroom/wet room as can avoid wet feet if using the bathroom after a shower, also alittle more storage like clothes/towel hook in the bathroom and a shelf or folding table for luggage.
