My son got married and we all stayed at the Cockhaven Arms. We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was great but the staff were exceptional. All very helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay there again.

Wir haben das Hotel im Zuge eines Roadtrips besucht und waren begeistert. Unser Zimmer war großzügig geschnitten und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und auch das dazugehörige Restaurant sehr zu empfehlen.

We stay here at least twice a year and always get the best first class Customer Service from the whole Team. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. The food is always delicious and fresh ingredients. So much so that we never eat anywhere else when we stay, and we always stay for a week or more. The rooms are relaxing and very clean. Emma, Andy and Francis give the best attention and service as do all the staff. As for the negative review, the information is incorrect. I witness this first hand. The Customer who was complaining obviously had a chip on her shoulder and was very harsh. A credit to the Patience of the Manager who dealt with her and her issue calmly and politely. We have been visiting year after year and never had cause for conplaint so that says it all! We look forward to our next visit as always!

What a gem of a hotel . The staff are exceptional . Emma has trained her staff to a high standard. Special mention to Francis who goes out of his way to help . Nothing is to much trouble for him . The food is of a high standard and specials are normally available. The rooms are clean and tidy .

We were looking forward to staying here again. However, the man serving us made us feel in the way. He came out with our food already on the plate in his hands into the bar asked us to be seated in the restaurant area? My steak was cold and he was rude to me about me telling him. At breakfast he was inappropriately dressed and seemed indifferent and slightly bored by having to serve us. We ate out elsewhere the next evening due to his attitude and won’t return. It’s a shame but this experience put us off.

We enjoyed our stay at Cockhaven Arms very much. There is plenty of onsite parking which was important to us. We were allocated a lovely stylish room with a balcony and were able to sit outside admiring the lovely view towards River Teign. The bed was very big and comfortable for a good sleep. We had a Sunday roast in the restaurant which was nice, and convenient. The breakfast consisted of good quality ingredients and well cooked and presented. The hosts are very generous in providing everything anyone could want of an overnight stay and we have come away with a happy memory of Cockhaven Arms. Thank you very much

Food very average. Husband described meat pie as dry and tasteless. Vegetables - peas!! Expensive for what is served. Live locally and the menu is now boring - has not changed in a very long time. No specials. Service usually good and friendly but hubbie will not go back. Also 10% service charge now added to the bill.

We were given a lovely comfortable and spotless room with a balcony area overlooking gardens.
The owners are excellent hosts and the location is very peaceful and just a short drive from Teignmouth, Shaldon & the main road between Exeter and Plymouth.

We enjoyed our stay at The Cockhaven arms . We found the stairs a bit of a problem as it have a knee problem. We asked if we could relocate to a downstairs room which the manager was kind enough to arrange for us . The upstairs room was nice but the downstairs room was perfect. The food was also good and the staff were all really helpful. We would recommend it as a comfortable place to stay .
