Red Rocker Inn

We went to the Red Rocker Inn as part of a little anniversary stay and it was so lovely, the owners welcomed us upon our arrival and even adjusted the thermostat(without us asking!) to make sure that we would be comfortable in our room. Our room was fantastic. Super cute and comfortable and even though it was a full house that weekend it was so quiet we slept so well! The inn is within walking distance of everything and we enjoyed a fabulous dinner at The Bush Farmhouse. Our breakfast in the morning at the Inn was delicious and again the service was fantastic. We can't wait to stay here again!

A beautiful B&B. Rooms are luxurious. Beautifully decorated. Meals are outstanding. Michael and Katy are so nice. A wonderful stay. So peaceful! We would definitely stay here again. Conveniently located to the quaint downtown. Within walking distance.

Excellent in every way! Room clean and tastefully arranged! Greetings and welcome were spectating that we were met in parking lot and assisted to our room! Breakfast menu was wide ranging with many choices, all very tastefully prepared! Only suggestion, as an early riser would be to have coffee available earlier in am ! Perhaps Keurig!🤓👍

Cannot say enough good things about the Red Rocker Inn. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood within walking distance of the main street and restaurants, shopping, galleries, etc. It had been a small hotel/B and B for many years. Some rooms are small and some are large so make your needs known when reserving. Our room was large with a large shower and a fireplace and a claw foot tub. The king bed was very comfortable.l The breakfast offering were simply outstanding. The host and hostess will do anything for you including adjustments to the menu. The food is excellent and we had different entrees each morning. All were cooked and seasoned perfectly. IN the afternoons or after dinner we sat in one of the oversized red rocking chairs on the porch and watched our blood pressure drop as the world passed in front. We met many other guests too. Did I mention there is a bakery attached around the corner! Oh my. Check out the Big Boy vending machine at the front door of the bakery. I will not tell you more except bring a dollar bill. If you do not you will miss an experience of a lifetime. Such great accommodations, location, host and hostess, breakfasts and the rocking chairs not to mention the bakery.

We had a great weekend at the Red Rocker. Mike and Katy are wonderful innkeepers and they made our stay extra special. They even set up the TV in the parlor and we had a Preakness-watching party! The food is terrific. We had breakfast, a brunch, and two dinners there. It was exceptional. We stayed in the Music Room on the first floor and it was super easy to move in and move out. Its location in a nice residential neighborhood which is walking distance to town was great, and a short hike to Lake Tomahawk was also wonderful.

A beautiful place inside and out! Excellent food and very cozy! Thank you for the wonderful Mothers Day weekend! The front porch and outdoor amenities are nice and the cozy sheets and hot water was an added plus as well! There is also a bakery attached to the side.

My husband and I decided to leave Asheville a day early and head to Black Mountain. I found the Red Rocker Inn online and gave Mike (the innkeeper) a call. It was a unique situation as they had had a storm the night before and the power was out. He kept in contact throughout the day giving me updates. When we decided to stay he allowed us to walk through the inn and pick out whatever room we wanted!! We choose the Pinehurst room. Everything was lovely. The breakfast was amazing!!! I have nothing but good things to say about our experience. If you go, walk down to Tomahawk Lake. A pleasant surprise too.

We have stayed at the Red Rocker several times over the years and find it a relaxing retreat with great cuisine. A recent upgrade only added to the original charm of the grounds. We will look forward to our next visit to Black Mountain and the Red Rocker.

We celebrated 25 years of marriage with a weekend getaway in Black Mountain. Red Rocker Inn was the perfect choice for accommodations. It was so quiet, we were forced into solitude. Exactly what we needed for our normally very busy lives. We didn’t want it to end! We got a peek at a few of the rooms, they are all cozy and clean. Ours was perfect. The restaurant had great food. It was cooked well. Friendly staff there. The owners work very hard to make this a welcoming and relaxing experience. We didn’t want to leave, and we would love to come back again!
