I did not feel cold. The location was very convenient. The person of the hotel responded politely. There was no problem with cleaning the room itself.

I had lunch today in Hotel Eticos restaurant with a group of 17 people for a Yuletide Celebration. The thoughtful little touches of Christmas decorations, little iced Christmas cakes on the table & home made star cookies hanging on the tree completed the beautiful ambiance, along with the cozy fire!. We had a 2 course set Yuletide menu. The food was of generous portions & was absolutely delicious. Dietary restrictions were not a problem & our lactose & dairy free member was well catered for. The service was spectacular. The staff were extremely friendly & nothing was too much trouble. We were all very well looked after. All of our group had a wonderful time. Jamie provided us with the best greeting we have ever had at check-in. He was warm and friendly on arrival and asked us did we know the area and were we looking for anything in particular. He then took the time to highlight the specific locations on a map that would be ideal for our photographic adventure. We arrived in the early evening and Jamie had the heater on in our room and the lights on for us and this was greatly appreciated on a cold Katoomba evening. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable, The large bathroom was recently renovated with plenty of hot water in the shower. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and fully intend to do so in the future.

We had a truely wonderful time at the Carrington. The old world charm and character of the well maintained heritage hotel was matched by the friendly and helpfull staff. Dining in the Grand Dining Room was amazing and the meals were excellent. We all had a wonderful time and are planning to make it an annual event.

Stayed in the two bedroom unit. Kitchen has all the basics. Good beds and two bathrooms. Walls dirty but otherwise very clean unit. You can hear some noice from the street but it didn’t bother us. The unit has one window to look out and one that has coloured glass so you can’t see through and this makes the unit dark. We didn’t care because we just needed a place to sleep and enjoyed the sceneries all day out hiking. Very friendly and attentive staff.

Boutique hotel, British style. The rooms and restaurants have a wonderful view, the valley filled with greenery, the elm trees blooming on the top of the tree, the birds rising from the sky, the colorful clouds.

We enjoyed our three-night stay at Leura Gardens. The accommodation is surrounded by lovely gardens which you can wander around. It is located amongst a quiet residential area which has some beautiful and fancy houses. Our room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. It included a microwave, mini-fridge, kettle, TV and a balcony. There is plenty of parking. The continental breakfast was great and well set-up - it included a variety of cereals, toasts, yoghurt, juices, muffins and a pancake machine. The breakfast room has big windows with a lovely view of the gardens and golf course opposite. The accommodation is only a few minutes drive to Leura Mall which has many cafes and boutique shops, as well as a Woolworths supermarket. A few minutes more and you get to Katoomba which has a larger range of cafes, restaurants and shops, including antique shops. There are many beautiful walks and lookouts in Leura, Katoomba and surrounding areas. We had a lovely few days in Leura and would stay at Leura Gardens again.

A large resort hotel in the hinterland. The facilities are complete. In particular, the price of the large indoor real ice rink is very affordable and there are not many people. and indoor heated pool. are all worth recommending Very suitable for self-driving

Unfortunately we started off on a bad foot when we had to wait in excess of an hour past our book in time for our room to be ready, then when we did finally get in, the TV remote wouldn't work and to turn it on manually meant it was stuck on one channel with no volume. Went back to reception and swapped batteries which didn't help, then we're told that thier maintenance people wouldn't be back until Monday so nothing they could do. To thier credit they did extend our check out time by an hour and provided breakfast at thier sister property in Katoomba. The property is in need of some TLC and to call them luxury apartments is a bit of a stretch, but they are in good condition overall. To access the studio lofts are up a rather tall flight of stairs that doesn't have a hand rail all the way, and the step treads are rather small (only just over half the length of my foot) which will make it very difficult for anyone with mobility issues. The room does have a kitchenette, but the only thing to cook with is a microwave, no hot plate or frypan included, so bring plastic wrap, paper towel etc with you, aswell as cutlery as there was only 1 knife, 3 forks and heaps of spoons. Room had a nice gas log fire place though we needed the a/con to help heat the room. Also a super sized 2 person spa that's so deep that if your not particularly tall you'll struggle to get in and out of. The shower is over the spa and with the weird uneven base, it makes it difficult to stand in to shower, aswell as a lack of grab rails anywhere.
