I did not feel cold. The location was very convenient. The person of the hotel responded politely. There was no problem with cleaning the room itself.

The KYAH looks so lovely on the internet and upon arrival in the public spaces as well as at first glimpse in the room. However, once you look more in detail as you stay in the room and would like to have a good time relaxing and enjoying the Blue Mountains, you will discover, it is not worth the price. Design ist nice and fancy, however the bathrooms will need some refurbishment soon. Nonetheless, I have never seen so much mould in the room itself. This is very dangerous, especially when you not just for one night and are with your whole family including Infant. I have never seen so wet windows after just sleeping which explains the mould. In addition, after having a shower the whole bathrooms hast hundreds of drops from the very low ceiling. While adressing these problems to staff, no real interest in solving the problems were shown. While the remote control was not working, this was solved quickly by replacing batteries. Breakfast was very disappointing. E.g. toast was empty and it was said, there is none anymore available. However, while having a glimpse to the kitchen, there was a full package of toast handled by one of the kitchen staff, but not for the tiny buffet. Dinner at BLAQ was tasty and staff very nice. The rest ist design and in my personal opinion very disappointing and way too expensive ”hospitality”. Better going elsewhere next time.

I had lunch today in Hotel Eticos restaurant with a group of 17 people for a Yuletide Celebration. The thoughtful little touches of Christmas decorations, little iced Christmas cakes on the table & home made star cookies hanging on the tree completed the beautiful ambiance, along with the cozy fire!. We had a 2 course set Yuletide menu. The food was of generous portions & was absolutely delicious. Dietary restrictions were not a problem & our lactose & dairy free member was well catered for. The service was spectacular. The staff were extremely friendly & nothing was too much trouble. We were all very well looked after. All of our group had a wonderful time. The room is relatively small, but the scenery is really beautiful. The layout of the lobby and the hotel has a Chinese classical charm, a fusion of Chinese and Western, and the colors are very beautiful. Breakfast is also very healthy. You can try the afternoon tea and stay there if you have the chance.

Alan the piano player was a most excellent surprise when we checked in late 1 night. We enjoyed the open fire, the nice beer and relaxing to Alans playing after a long day of rain and cold. The rooms in hotel are large, but could do with a brighten up. We only stayed 1 night. We did have a bit of an issue which the staff dealt with speedily and to our satisfaction.

We had a truely wonderful time at the Carrington. The old world charm and character of the well maintained heritage hotel was matched by the friendly and helpfull staff. Dining in the Grand Dining Room was amazing and the meals were excellent. We all had a wonderful time and are planning to make it an annual event.

~Location~ The location was very central to the train station, town centre, Echo Point and restaurants. It is across the road from the RSL which is convenient if looking for affordable dinner options. The RSL is also stop #5 if catching the Explorer bus making it very easy to get around without a car although we walked to a lot of places. ~The Room & Establishment~ The room was clean and comfortable albeit a bit basic it did have a TV, fridge and coffee making facilities, a small table and chairs and a small cupboard. The bed was comfortable although the pillows weren’t great. Whilst there was AC the room was quite chilly and there were no electric blankets but there was an extra blanket at the foot of the bed. Breakfast is ok but nothing flash. A few different cereals although healthy options are limited, some fresh fruit, only 2 toasters for the whole dining room and some scrambled eggs. Whoever makes the coffee obviously doesn't drink it as it was awful and we heard several other guests say the same :( Hot water/pressure: Fantastic Wifi: Good (did drop out periodically) ~The Service~ Communication: Fair Understandably after the pandemic, staffing has been difficult and changed and as such both reception staff were both new. They were both lovely but things like check in could have gone more quickly and smoothly (eg instead of leaving guests waiting to check in to show other guests where the dining area was, there could be signage and if multiple guests are checking in at a peak check in time *2pm* perhaps both reception staff could be on duty).

We enjoyed our three-night stay at Leura Gardens. The accommodation is surrounded by lovely gardens which you can wander around. It is located amongst a quiet residential area which has some beautiful and fancy houses. Our room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. It included a microwave, mini-fridge, kettle, TV and a balcony. There is plenty of parking. The continental breakfast was great and well set-up - it included a variety of cereals, toasts, yoghurt, juices, muffins and a pancake machine. The breakfast room has big windows with a lovely view of the gardens and golf course opposite. The accommodation is only a few minutes drive to Leura Mall which has many cafes and boutique shops, as well as a Woolworths supermarket. A few minutes more and you get to Katoomba which has a larger range of cafes, restaurants and shops, including antique shops. There are many beautiful walks and lookouts in Leura, Katoomba and surrounding areas. We had a lovely few days in Leura and would stay at Leura Gardens again.

A large resort hotel in the hinterland. The facilities are complete. In particular, the price of the large indoor real ice rink is very affordable and there are not many people. and indoor heated pool. are all worth recommending Very suitable for self-driving
