The Grey Swan Inn LLC

The Grey Swan Inn Is definitely worth staying at. The house is clean and the beds are good,. I’m giving it three stars because the breakfast was not typical of the bed-and-breakfasts I’ve stayed at in the past. It’s basically self serve prepackaged muffins and cereal. They also did nott leave the Wi-Fi code. I would also comment to the owners to put rug tape under the rugs. As I was going down the stairs from my room, the rug slipped from under me, thankfully I didn’t trip. Overall, it was a good stay, and I’ve heard from the locals that it was just recently purchased, so I wish the owner all the best. You’re off to a great start! I I would definitely stay at this property again! I would also recommend it

We stayed a couple of days on the top floor. Clean comfortable & quiet. There were plenty of snacks & breakfast food & coffee. We highly recommend this Inn. It was like staying at home & Jess was very accommodating. The surrounding area is very quiet and lots of Victorian homes.

I usually dont stay at B&B's but this one was very nice. I was pleasantly surprised..property was charming..i would highly recomend it.

This is a quaint bed and breakfast with old fashioned decor which is very clean and in a good location for town. The house has plenty of space and the wifi is good as we needed to work whilst there. We used this is a base to visit family in Ford so didn’t use local amenities so much. I’m docking it two points, one because we thought the place was a little bit cold and a couple of degrees on the heating would have made the difference. Second is that the food left for breakfast was 2-3 weeks out of date so we didn’t have any of the breakfast and instead used McDonald’s down the road.

I have been overcharged for one room. No service they leave cheap stuff for you to eat. All I need to charge My electric car and had to spend the night there. So I have no other choice but to pay the fees. $148

Lovely Inn. Very historic. Fully equipped kitchen. Beds are comfy. Air conditioning is cold. Does have quite a few stairs leading to rooms if traveling with disabled ( we weren't). Would definitely stay again.

Booked the Grey Swan back in March for $169/night- which is high for Blackstone, VA, but it was inclusive of breakfast and there are limited options in town. By July the Inn was for sale and no breakfast (there was a sign in our room, probably meant to be funny . "Bed and Breakfast, you make both!") We were allowed access to the kitchen to cook for ourselves....but not exactly the same. At all. We were left granola bars and apples in lieu of a full breakfast. Never met the owner or anyone else the entire time we stayed, which was a little creepy, but the quiet was nice. There is a cleaning person who checks in at some point as we were given fresh towels at our request. I asked for a partial refund since this is now basically a just a hotel and we now had to go out and fend for ourselves each morning at our expense....NOPE. I understand sale price is dependent upon revenue but this is bad business. We stayed in room 3. It is in the attic. A lot of space in this particular room. Place is worn but clean and generally maintained. New deck boards outside. Just know there is no owner onsite, few services here, and the house is being to be shown to perspective buyers.

I had to make a last minute work trip to Blackstone VA and liked at the other available places in the area but they were mostly motels with skeptical reviews. Then I found this adorable BnB and am so glad I booked it. The innkeepers were the absolute nicest people, the inn is exactly what you imagine a cute BnB to be. The bathroom was fully stocked, mini fridge in my room which was perfect for me because I'm kosher and had to bring my own food for over the weekend. The inn is right off of main street so I spent the weekend exploring main street and the nearby civil war memorial sites. They have a massive porch with a swing and rocking chairs to relax in. I highly recommend staying here. I wish there had been a bathrobe but there than that I don't have a single negative thing to write about this charming inn. Wonderful experience!

What a wonderful and charming place! Great location in a really charming town. Comfortable room, wonderful public spaces. It felt like a real get away. I will definitely make an effort to visit again.
