Convenient location for geysir and gullfoss. Nice hot tub. Pool smaller than the pictures. Small bedrooms, but amazingly comfortable beds. Good kitchen facilities and nice food at the club house Very friendly staff.

Good solution for a visit in the Golden Circle area. The cottage is OK, nothing special, but it has all the necessary equipment to prepare your dinner. Staff is supportive, the restaurant does not look not great and somehow it has a strong smell. Price-quality ratio is acceptable

Our cabin was truly amazing, it had everything you needed and it's in a perfect location to see all the touristic attractions in Iceland arund the Golden Circle. The hot tube is just dreamy, the water is really hot and the location is superb, with wild horses in the area. It would be a great place to see the aurora (we weren't lucky though). The owner is such a friendly woman, she told us a lot about the Iceland traditions, we had a traditional meal there and she even baked my father a cake for his birthday. This to me, is going above and beyond. We loved the cabin, it had big windows and the view was so beautiful. It was really warm inside, which we loved, but you can lower the radiators or open windows if you prefer colder temp. Regarding the price - I looked a lot around before booking and this property had the best priced, so great value for money. Of course, you also need to rent a car. Thank you - we would go back anytime.

The cabins are generally quite reasonable, relative to the price in Iceland. We enjoyed the stay, just one night. We chose the place due to its proximity to the geysers and waterfalls Brúarfoss, Gullfoss, Brúarhlöð The view is quite good, it was hard to see the glow due to the lights of the place. The place is nicely maintained, the kitchen is fully equipped, nothing was missing for cooking dinner. Bedrooms are small in bed size, but there is a spacious living room and dining area, so there was no problem of space to conduct oneself in the cabin. The service is human for a change in Iceland - not with receiving a code to open a small safe with a key as it was in most of our places. You get a key and directions to the cabin from the reception, located in the hotel restaurant. The menu of the place looks good, but we did not eat in the restaurant. There is a jacuzzi and shared pool, which didn't look the most inviting, but we didn't use them due to the weather. You are asked, as in many places, to take the garbage with you and wash the dishes. All in all, good and highly recommended service.

Very pleasant stay in 4-pers cottage including hottub. The cottage was very cosy, spacious and clean. Beds were good. Bathroom was quite new. Kitchen a bit dated, but everything you need is present. Very nice view from the livingroom/balcony. Hottub is delicious, we enjoyed it multiple times, watching the landscape. Breakfast can be included, they deliver at your cottage. Very good value for money!

These cottages look lovely from the main road but unfortunately disappointing up close! The staff at reception are friendly and helpful… it’s the standards of cleanliness that is very poor! On arrival to the cottage, opening the door we were met with the most disgusting smell of sulphur from the indoor hot tub! We had to open all windows and doors it was so revolting! The kitchen was very grubby and appliances very tired and need replacing! We had to wash everything before using as not properly cleaned (plates, cups, glasses, cutlery…). Beds uncomfortable and pillows terribly thin!!! Cheap soap in the toilets/showers and no basic products such as kitchen roll etc! The outside decking area was nice for dinner/drinks (great views!) however we had to go and purchase tea lights/matches in the shop to light the candles to keep the flies away!

We received a phone call the morning of our reservation telling us the current occupants have covid so can't leave and we will be refunded. Trying to find last minute 4 rooms somewhere else the same day was an absolute nightmare and cost us a fortune . Now forward 2 weeks and they're totally denying all knowledge of cancelling us and refusing a refund! Good scam that one Uthlid cottages 🤬 lesson learned to get everything in writing!!!
