The Exchange Hotel Blayney

Very disappointing. Walked down the hallway to the smell of cigaretters. Entered the room. Fridge not working. No remote for TV. Curtains are see through which is problematic with the big fluorescent lights outside. Blankets had a dark brown smudge on them. Asked about the TV remote. Told that somebody must have nicked it and too bad, use the side buttons. No side buttons. Went to bathroom, cigarette remains in sink. About 15 used shower gels in shower. Told bistro closed for Saturday night for function. Thought I'd stay one night instead of two nights. I was told I could check out early but would not be entitled to a refund as they had turned people away, and besides I stayed in a pub so should expect this. Turns out there were two rooms available last night as the keys were in the doors. I was pretty disappointed. Ironically I went down to apologise for making a fuss as I didn't want to spoil the night of the person I had raised my concerns with. Do yourself a favour stay anywhere else in Blayney.
