Hotels near Seilbahnen Sonntag, Bludenz

My wife and I chose this hotel purely because of it's location. The hotel could not be any closer to the train station, it is literally right at the station. We don't speak German, so we were very happy to be met at check-in by a young woman who spoke excellent English. She was very helpful and check-in was very easy. This place is very new and very cool. It was Friday night when we arrived and both restaurants in the hotel were booked out. We left our bags in our very modern and clean room and made the short walk into town for dinner. After dinner we walked back to the hotel and had a couple of drinks in the bar, which was buzzing. We then went to our room and could hear neither the music from the bar nor the adjacent trains. The sound proofing is very impressive. Next morning breakfast was tremendous ! We would happily stay here again.

Clean rooms, although these have come somewhat into the years, especially the bathroom (at least our room 204, partly they appear on guest photos more modern). Very friendly, speedy reception. Free deep garage, central location. Wi-Fi unfortunately somewhat unstable, probably also room-dependent. Breakfast sosolala, but enough. If anyway, would come back, price-performance ratio voted for us :)

The positives first! Nice welcome when we arrived. The room was large and even had a walk in closet. I haven't seen that very often in a hotel! Otherwise, a somewhat boring breakfast, and a strange sound coming from the sink made it a little difficult to sleep. We arrived late and left early, otherwise we would have complained and asked for a different room, but we told the reception when we checked out. Clean and nice hotel, but not quite our style.

We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights in June 2023 to vacation on Lake Constance. Lake Constance can be reached from the hotel in 15 minutes by car. Dornbirn city center is within walking distance. Dornbirn train station is right next door, but that's not a problem. We liked the hotel overall, but it also has some weak points. You can tell that the hotel is very new, everything is very modern and we liked the style. The room was clean, but one day our room cleaning was completely forgotten. We could only change the towels at reception in the evening. But the room was no longer cleaned. We have never experienced this in any other 4-star hotel and it shouldn't happen. Care products such as conditioner and especially tea and coffee were never refilled by the cleaning staff. Unfortunately, we couldn't drink coffee or tea on the last few days and the kettle was therefore useless if you don't have any products for it anymore. Unfortunately, there is no blackout curtain on the window. The curtain was white and did not darken the room. So it was bright as day in the room at 5 a.m. Not so nice if you actually want to sleep in on vacation, and of course that's difficult in a brightly lit room where the sun is shining. Otherwise you would have had a really wonderful night's sleep, as the beds were very comfortable and it was always very quiet. Unfortunately, there is no table in the room. If you want to write something on your tablet or laptop, the only option is the bed. This also means there are no shelves. There is enough cupboard space for clothes, but for everything else you have on a table (tablet, laptop, cell phone, keyboard, etc.) the only option is the floor. The WiFi is extremely fast and worked perfectly. We really liked the wellness area, it was always very quiet and clean. Unfortunately, there are no towels available in the wellness area, so you only have your bathrobe and a single towel for the sauna for the entire stay. It is therefore impossible to shower in the sauna area with a fresh towel, also because there is no shower gel or shampoo in the sauna showers. This should be a given in a 4-star hotel and we know it from other hotels. The hotel promotes sustainability, but unfortunately there are only disposable plastic cups in the rooms and in the wellness area. This is not appropriate for a 4-star hotel and is particularly not sustainable and should be urgently reconsidered. The staff were very friendly throughout, especially the staff at reception and in the restaurant. We mostly ate dinner in the hotel. The menu is very varied and the food was always very good. Hotel Oberland is a beautifully located hotel up the mountain from Vaduz. There are two roads up to Triesenberg, both are either windy or narrow. Both are beautiful. The hotel has self service check in, which I have never seen before. It worked beautifully. There's a sauna downstairs and a full breakfast available.
