I did a cycling event called chase the sun which is over 200miles from coast to coast on the longest day of the year. A lot of preparation has gone into the training and logistics to get to this point. My wife and I arrived an hour and a half before check in and they mentioned that they weren't ready for us to check in yet. We went to restaurant across to get some lunch and checked in after. I booked for a 2 night stay. When we got into the room the first thing I noticed was that there was only two sachets of tea and coffee and no fridge to put things in. I went to the reception and as I got there I saw there was a tray full of sugar, milk, coffee and teas and mentioned to the reception lady that we didn't have any cups and not enough tea/coffee for a two night stay. She said that I could help myself to the items that I needed which I did, but that there also should have been cups in the room. I informed her that there was none and she apologised and went to fetch some for me. I went back to the room and had a 70page print out of my route that I needed to go through. I lied on the bed and turned the light on for my side of the bed only to notice that there is no light bulb in it. Back to the reception I went and once again apologies was made but she did not have access to the light bulbs and mentioned it will be corrected the next day. What really got me though is the following: The room is so hot and humid and there is only a heater to supplement for winter time but no fan or AC for summer. No fridge to store basic items like water/milk. The most basics of tv channels and just a few of them worked and the ones that did work the pictures were all wonky. There was still water marks on the shower screen in the bathroom and taps. The rubber on the shower screen was pink from all the bacteria forming and there was cobwebs in the bathroom. All in all the staff was friendly, but there is clearly standards that need to be checked especially if someone spends £250 for a stay it leaves a bad taste in ones mouth.

It was a hot week and we all know it was unusual. But the air conditioning didn't work, they only had some fans so some had to suffer. I had to purchase my own fan to make the room just bareable and smart comments form a staff member did not help the situation.

The room was lovely, very clean and the beds were SO comfy. Our only gripes would be the internet and signal was pretty terrible and it was soo hot in the rooms. There was no air conditioning. At night it was 17 degrees outside and 29 degrees in our room. They had provided a fan but it was just blowing hot air around.

Good overall stay. Reception was very good, The Premiere Plus Room was clean and tidy and very spacious. Breakfast courtesy of Brewers Fayre was good. The only negative is the odd method of letting guests know how to access the Ultimate WiFi which is communicated through an email!. So if you don't have a connection you have to log into the free wifi to get your mail message. Surely a more direct method of handing the voucher code at check-in would avoid any confusion. However it si worthwhile as it is 10x faster than the free wifi

Nice hotel, little bit out from the main area but if you’re driving it’s no biggie. Hotels split into 2 buildings, ample parking but didn’t see any ev charging areas. Room was cleaning and tidy, windows opened and it was clean, only gripe being 4 of us was the toilet paper supplied to the room was not sufficient and the walls were quite thin in that lot of sounds/noise travelled from other rooms/corridor.. Did have a little bit of drama with the fire alarms going off but that’s not impacted on my scoring here, good to know they worked and it was a false alarm. Breakfast across was road was decent, staff all happy, smiling and attentive to the guests and was amongst the best I have ever experienced at a premier inn.

Ive been to this hotel multiple times and everytime, we have a lovely experience. The rooms are always clean and to a high standard. Its value for money and my children always enjoy coming here. We always have a good nights sleep and has never been anything to fault. The location is perfect for us and with the added bonus of multiple places to get food and drink basically on your doorstep. The staff are all lovely. Louise, who we have seen on multiple occassions, has greeted us at reception to check in. She s always friendly, accommadating, helpful and really easy to chat to, which i find really comforting due to my anxiety around strangers and being outside. It puts me at ease. She is a credit to the hotel and company.
