Cheap holiday, self catering, but my god tui, give us appliances to cook with if we wish. No toaster, no microwave, 2 rings what take ages to heat up, I know alot of ppl eat out but for those who doesn't, it's very hard to rustle up something, If you go to the bar/eatery, 1 bacon 1 sausage 1egg spoonful mushrooms, spoonful beans, 2 small toast n small cup of tea, about £6, eat out, you'll pay less n get more, a green salad also cost same. The apartment was dirty, pillows had blood on, no seating on the terrace, so you either stood up or bought chairs out fm table in lounge, no cleaning materials eg mop or brush, when you saw cleaners, always sat smoking, tv never worked, went to reception to tell of problems but completely ignored, very rude and ignorent, don't book trips from tui rep, we went over to kos for £30 fm vendor just down road fm hotel, tui was £45, pool cleaned every other day, lots of cats n bat's, air con very dirty, £8 per day, shower floods as only half screen n window, make sure you close as all n sundry will see thru it, would I go here again, DEFINITELY NOT,

Disgusting!! The room was basic which we did expect due to the price what we didn’t expect was a disgusting dirty room which had clearly not been cleaned from the last residents, dirty towel with long dark hairs all over it and the sink I’m blond and my partner is bald luckily we brought our own towels! dirty sock and dirty tissues on the floor along with what looked like blood, fridge dirty, no cooking facilities, but worst of all used toilet paper in the bathroom bin 💩 when approaching reception I was told Sorry bout that we will deep clean tomorrow! The sheets were clean but that was all and due to it being 3am we decided to go to bed and sort it the next morning, I did ask if we could have a clean room to be told there was no availability! We felt ignored by staff throughout our week as we had complained and didn’t pay extra for the air con as god knows when that unit was last cleaned! they seemed to focus more on families especially young women with children! we went out every day from morning to late and literally just slept there after finally getting the room cleaned the next afternoon! Cheap or not I will not be stepping foot back at that slum!

Upon arrival our room which we paid extra for was not available , not the end of the world but disappointing none the less . On the third day the room was available and we eventually got to unpack our bags and start our holiday properly. Unfortunately the cleaning is not the best ,and seems more of a token wipe down , and empty the bins . A deep clean is definitely required at some point , black mould in the bathroom water stains on the shower cubicle, metal bins in the bathroom showing stains from previous guests and going rusty . The sofas in the living room were so badly stained they had to put bed sheets on them to make them usable, such a shame to be honest because you can see where they have refurbished the rooms ,but poor cleaning has ruined the furniture and fittings. As to the staff , I couldn't fault the guys who work in the bar and restaurant, excellent service day or night . As for access issues, it's not a place to stay if you can't do steps or hills ,it does mention this on web sites. Would we return?..........the jury's out at the moment as I would like to think that these reviews are read by the hotels and are taken in a constructive way and changes are made and hopefully the hotel can improve.

Just arrived back after a week here . Firstly , I read all reviews .We knew the hotel was on a hill and lots of steps so why everyone was complaining I don’t understand at all ? . I requested a low floor but was given an apartment on floor 5 but they kindly changed our apartment the day after . The rooms are spacious , All staff are very polite , helpful and hard working . whilst we were here the staff took lots of abuse from people which made myself and others ashamed to be English . Abusive language and disrespectful to rules around the pool area. It was a very basic complex and all staff seemed to mix/match their daily work . My negative would be - cleaning within the apartments , only saw local staff with a child’s bucket with cloths in ! No brush or mop ( and nothing in the rooms to tidy up yourself) but had to ask for clean towels and for someone to clean the floors . Basic cleaning is done of which I reported . Pleas take a tea towel and wipes. Local supermarkets within the area for all essentials can be bought . We have had a lovely week here and for the price we paid we can’t complain . We didn’t expect 5⭐️ . 15 minutes from Bodrum £5 in a taxi Walking distance to beach Lots of bars and restaurants. Boat trips available to book in the street . .

Very dirty and smelly. Dangerous slippy floors. Wet areas after swimming were left and powed a major hazard. Same dirt was left in the communal toilets for days. Used toilet paper in the bins wasnt moved or changed. Dirty grey mops used in the restaurant floor. The cooking facilities in the apartment were pretty nonexistent, no toaster or oven. So to say its self catering is a stretch.

What can I say? Had an amazing time for the price we paid yes cheap and cheerful with this in mind please don’t expect 5 star you want 5 star then pay for it😳? Really if you want free WiFi, aircon entertainment then read the hotel conditions? It does not say free WiFi or entertainment so why expect it for less than 300 pound what do you want We couldn’t ask for anymore the staff were amazing so friendly and helpful our Keith top guy ordered us a macdonalds 🤣 it’s self catering which was fine could do with a toaster in the room was my only complaint about hotel As someone already mentioned about certain guests YES felt ashamed to be British it was disgusting how the staff got treated by a certain person myself and others felt so sorry for him and tried assure him we are not all the same and he was amazing part of the team as they all were all in all we love it at zera bodrum already looking to book again ❤️

This was the worst hotel I have ever been to. Upon arrived they charged us £55 just to use the AC. They hide the remotes and then give them once paid. There is no WiFi in the rooms and you can only use the WiFi in the lobby. The lobby is tiny and can only sit 8 people so when you have nothing to do at night you may aswell twiddle your thumbs. They switch the restaurant WiFi off at 6pm so you can not use that either. The rooms are absolutely disgusting. They have mould on the showers and you have to beg for you room to be cleaned. Lazy and rude staff. We spoke to All the other families at this hotel and nobody has a single positive things to say. We complained to a staff member about the cleanliness and he said “I don’t care go complain to TUI. We certainly won’t be booking with TUI either as they have clearly not inspected this hotel before giving it out to customers.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Zera bodrum, we got a great deal with Tui and were a bit worried after reading mixed reviews. We had an amazing holiday, beds were comfortable the air conditioning worked well. Room was a good size with 2 separate bedrooms and the shower was very good. We found all the staff very helpful and friendly, Akif was very good and spoke brilliant English, so if we had any questions others couldn't answer he would come over and translate. The hotel is on a very steep hill, but from reading other reviews it was no where near as bad as I had expected, we certainly never had an issue walking. The hotel is in a very good location close to lots of the popular bars and restaurants that you can walk in a few minutes but far enough away that you couldn't really hear much noise. We would happily come back to the Zera if the price was right.
