Bodrum Spa Hotels

This hotel has a lot going for it; incredible view over the city and old castle, impeccably attentive staff, delicious food and excellent amenities. A few items we found not meeting the high quality we expected from a Small Luxury Hotels of the World and Hyatt Regency partner was some things that were lacking. The landscaping was a bit underwhelming and I saw many ****s. The pool area is subjected to the city street noise and multiple sirens go by hourly. There was also a hotel or bar playing music so loud that drifted up the hill to the hotel. They play the pool music fairly loud at the Mamara to mask it. Not great if you are wanting to relax or nap by the pool. Also, our AC would not cool our room. We had to sleep with our ground floor slider open. We called for repair and no one showed up for three hours before we left for the pool, which as someone else mentioned, was quite cool. (Maybe because it’s early May???) I’m glad we are using points to pay for the room rather than out of pocket. We are the highest level of Hyatt Regency and they told us they were upgrading us from garden view to sea view. Ummm, barely. Only if you sit out on the patio and look between two buildings.

Our 15th year stying at this hotel and it’s still as amazing as the 1st year. Very friendly staff that we class as friends, special thanks to Mahmut and Zeliah, lovely to see Zeliah again and a pleasure to be introduced to Mahmut. The rooms are very clean and have everything you need for your stay, Meals at Big Chef were very nice, the pool is great and the sun loungers are very comfortable, there is a supermarket just across the road and a little coffee shop that we also like to visit. Looking forward to going back next year.

We stayed in a 4 bedroom villa for a week while our house in Bodrum was undergoing maintenance. What a great choice it turned out to be. The villa was amazing. It was kept immaculately clean throughout the week. The beach and most restaurants were closed but we got to try out the spa which was wonderful. The hotel is very close to Bodrum center so it was easy to commute to all the restaurants that were open in winter. We will return in summer to take full advantage of this great hotel.

We had our family holiday there in may half term. It’s a big hotel but needs updating. Food and drink are very average. The wine is disgusting and the food most nights was cold. We had water coming through our bathroom ceiling and it took them 2 days to move us. And when the did the hair dryer in the second room was dangerous and they had to come and replace it. The pool area are very nice but if you want a bed you need to get there before breakfast. All the staff are very friendly and the waiting staff couldn’t do enough for you they where great. Don’t get me wrong, we had a great holiday but if you’re expecting a 5 star resort don’t get your hopes up.

All staff are very caring and make you feel valued. There are lots of greenery, palm and pomegranate trees inside. It adds a different atmosphere to the hotel. I also liked the decoration of the hotel. Breakfast was also good. Recommended for price/performance.

The breakfast is average. Room facilities are also average. However! I have to say the hotel environment is really nice. Blue and white. It makes people feel Santorini. These are unfiltered pictures.

A great hotel well positioned far enough from Bodrum to be able to enjoy a bit of peace and quite, but near enough to be on the marine promenade by foot in 10 minutes, alternatively by water taxi right into town. Very helpful staff, day and night, they made us feel spoilt and special, although there are sometimes language barriers, but with a mobile translating app this shouldnt be a problem. However, the internet connection seems to be a problem, with the signal often going away, also the logging into the hotel wifi is terrible, having to log in with room number and birth date when you do get thrown out of the net. I hope that they get a better solution for that, the sooner the better. We were there at the end of the season, so there weren't many guests there any more. I love the fitness centre and went there every day, as well as for a swim in the sea, which has perfectly clear water without any waste or algae at all. Next time we visit Bodrum, we definately will stay there again.

So the good points… The location is great. A 10 minute drive down to the main area where there’s plenty of shops and bars spread across the marina. The beach is lovely. The water is nice and clean and plenty of beds for you to spend the day in the sun having fun 😎 The view is spectacular. The most amazing scenes especially at night when the town is lit up. So picturesque. The bed is very comfortable and the rooms are a good size. The staff on the beach do a great job keeping it clean and tidy. Unfortunately, that’s probably about it for the good points. Bad points… The drinks are awful. The sodas are flat and warm, the cocktails are absolutely shocking. The mojito should be removed from the menu as not 1 person knows how to make one. The rooms are ok but it’s the cleanliness, it’s bad. We stayed for 5 nights and not one was out floor cleaned, the shower and sink left unclean the whole time, bed was made daily but they never changed the sheets. Not once. The room was dirty when we checked in. Not a great start to the holiday. Most days the rooms was never even looked at so I had to keep asking for it to be cleaned. (Not that it was cleaned to anyone’s standard) The mini bar and coffee was never replenished. Had to constantly ask for stuff. Very frustrating. The staff are not that friendly bar maybe 2 or 3. They basically serve you once they’ve finished their conversations amongst themselves. Almost make you feel uncomfortable. What’s also frustrating is that not many speak any English. Now, I’m fully aware that I’m in their country and maybe it’s wrong for me to be frustrated but given you’ve opened your doors for the English speaking consumers, you would expect the staff to atleast understand what drink you’re asking for on the English written menu. The security guy who props himself up at the bar is very rude and aggressive. But I’ll be taking that further on a different platform. The lift to take you from the hotel down to the pool area is constantly out of use meaning you’ll need to walk up and down 100s of steep steps. Not what you want to be doing in 38c heat. The food isn’t great. Not awful but just bad quality. I didn’t eat there much but maybe it was just an off day. The air conditioning in the room is awful. Might as well not even have it turned on. Room still hot when it’s been left on all day. The hotel could be made so much better given its location but unfortunately, I don’t think the staff care too much about their customer’s complaints or concerns. Would I stay again? Probably not. And that’s unfortunate as you would book a holiday inn given its worldwide reputation but unfortunately, the standard at this hotel doesn’t match. But if you’re looking for somewhere for the location and a beach day, the hotel would be perfect for you. Some issues can be forgiven but there seems to be more negative than good. I was very satisfied with the hotel.Location is good ( near Myndos Gate) .There is no “Sea View” but all the remarkable places are still in a walking distance! Food in restaurant is delicious and a little bit more expensive than in Bodrum common places!Service is good as well .A huge advantage of the hotel : Free of charge - SPA zone . Everything is included except massage & relax programs ! The only one minus which was observed in case if it was 5- star hotel the rooms were not spacious enough !!! Relation between price & quality of the hotel is reasonable ! I would definitely recommend it !

Our honest review... We had a group of 8 people, 3 females and 5 males. I will list the pros and cons below. For the price the hotel was great but I would advise to perhaps keep budget in mind. We had a great holiday overall and for others like us with low budget and large group for Turkey I would recommend. We went 13th till 21st of May. The entertainment started in last few days as we were leaving as the season was beginning and you could tell the hotel was getting busier. The hotel was great walking distance to the centre market which was great fun to look round. Me and my girlfriend walked round the shops multiple times and loved buying things, be very prepared to get haggled though, none were rude to us you just have to say no thank you a lot. Make sure to bargain with price as you will get it cheaper and just remember there are loads of stores selling the same thing so don't be worried to walk away (sometimes walking away will make them drop the price more). From what we saw along the hotel front, Diamond of Bodrum looked the best. NOW THE BIGGEST PROBLEM... the safe doesn't work and didn't in all four rooms and unfortunely the cleaners are not to be trusted!!! They stole £30 from our case which we did not want to think but then they also stole perfume and travel kits from my friends. I didn't want to believe it but was 100% the cleaners, and they don't speak English so couldn't speak to them about it. Other than this lots of positives about the hotel below, so don't let this put you off completely, JUST HIDE YOUR STUFF! Hotel The hotel overall was nice and pretty clean. We all had double rooms however each room looked different some bigger than other. Myself had two single beds pushed together as my friends had double bed or same as us. The aircon isn't very good but kind of does the job. So be prepared to be little hot at night. Pool was big and fun for us to play in. The hot tub isn't a thing as does not work. The indoor pool is nice but also very cold which was fine. The sauna and steam room are nice and we used few times. The all-inclusive was amazing as we wanted to eat and drink loads. The drinks selection isn't huge but was enough for us and cocktails were made super strong which we loved. The rooftop seats are great with an amazing view. Staff The staff can vary from some being nice and others horrible. Highly recommend the rooftop bar staff and most of all Ahmet! he is the nicest and by far the best drinks maker. The two male staff on the pool staff are HORRIBLE! They pest you for a tip EVERYTIME even though all-inclusive and made us avoid them when possible. The reps are GREAT and got us involved in games as well as popping up for conversations with us around the hotel. There is one man who tries to sell exchanges and trips which was overpriced so don't use him. Food and Drink The food was good and had a wide variety and all you can eat was amazing.
