Accomodation in the Bled/Bohinj areas is limited and expensive. However, the Hotel Tripic is a good compromise - a classic and unfancy Slovenian hotel/pension - clean; very well and family run and an ideal place for a base to visit the surrounding area. The staff are excellent, the location is great with free parking and with a direct bus to both Lake Bohinj, Bled and even to Ljubljana. Rooms are are old fashioned and a bit basic and rather overpriced but with only 17 rooms and this location....the included breakfast is better than expected and the onsite restaurant is good and very popular even with locals. So overall the Tripic is recommended.

We stayed in this hotel as a result of booking our walking holiday in Slovenia with Headwater. The hotel is very traditional and we had a brilliant stay with all the staff being so helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was a great start to the day and the evening guest three course menu was excellent. There was lots of choice and it very nicely cooked and presented. The hotel is very well located within a pretty village that has everything you need in terms of amenities; the local bakery in the morning and the ice cream counter at the end of an active day were firm favourites. The village also had a very good transport network and is well situated to get to a variety of places very easily. The hotel is situated in a beautiful area with lakes, mountains and gorges and we would highly recommend it!

Very warm and obliging staff. Wonderful location. Hard to think of any negatives. I suppose the rooms were rather expensive but i think that is Slovenia!

Wir waren dieses Jahr als Familie mit drei Kindern im Restaurant essen. Das Restaurant hat eine große Terrasse, die überdacht ist. Leider konnten wir nicht zwei kleinere Tische zusammenstellen, um zu fünft an zusammenzusitzen. Selbst auf Anfrage beim Kellner ging das nicht. Offensichtlich will man so mehr umsetzten, da ja sonst bis zu acht Personen an den zwei Tischen sitzen können. Das Essen ist ok und gut bürgerlich - aber nichts was sich von anderen Restaurants in Bohinj abhebt. Leider empfanden wir das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis unpassend - also viel zu teuer, bei zum Teil echt kleinen Portionen, was das Essen a la carte angeht. Wir werden wieder nach Slowenien und auch Bohinj fahren, werden uns aber sicher was anderes zum Essen suchen.

A fair hotel with no real facilities besides the restaurant. I did not fancy the restaurant a lot. The meals are too simple cooked. The staff is very very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean. And Well situated for a vacation close to the Bohinj Lake or a hike to the mountains.
