We booked a one-night stay at the Lifestyle Hotel Vitar—Adults Only. I paid extra for the option of canceling my trip if needed. I have an uncle who is in renal failure in Florida, and it appears I will not be able to go to Croatia. I need to cancel the stay. ******* attempted to cancel the reservation but refused to honor the cancelation option for which I paid extra. I paid for the option to cancel due to my uncle's health., I booked the plane tickets months ago, and all other providers have been able to honor the cancelation, but not this property.

We had a wonderful stay in Lifestyle Hotel Vitar, and would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Bol. The hotel is approx a 15 minute walk from the ferry point and 10 minutes walk to Bol town, as well as a 15 minute walk to Zlatni Rat beach (and associated promenade). As such, it is ideally located as a juncture between both - however, there is a reasonably steep hill from the town to the hotel which those with accessibility issues should be aware of. There is a small supermarket in Bol town, as well as a more convenient store located 5 minutes from the hotel. Our room was very comfortable, clean and spacious, with a pleasant view and balcony overlooking the town and surroundings. Breakfast was good with an abundance of offerings, as well as a small menu for additional orders. The hotel had a stunning rooftop pool, jacuzzi and sauna, which was a wonderful space to relax after a long morning and afternoon exploring Bol in the sun, and really added to our stay. The staff were a pleasure to deal with and were always willing to provide assistance throughout our stay. We had a minor issue with the air conditioning unit in our room, and the reception and maintenance staff were extremely helpful in trying to rectify the issue. There are also an abundance of amenities located in close proximity to the hotel, including opportunities for tennis court hire, car hire, and bicycle hire. I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Bol - you won't regret it!

I honestly wish we could have stayed at this hotel for all of our trip to Croatia, but sadly we only had 2 nights on Bol. The walk from the port to the hotel isn’t the easiest, it was doable (for mildly in shape, able-bodied 34 year olds) and you just had to push your luggage up a pretty big hill in the heat. Check in and the staff were great, breakfast was great. The rooms were spacious and had lots of outlets and places to set out your belongings. The shower was nice and so was the rooftop pool (stunning!) you could also get beach towels from the front desk . I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely flawless, apart from the canned music around the pool, someone else’s taste in music isn’t always appreciated! The staff are very welcoming and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are modern and very clean but a bit quirky. We loved sitting out on our spacious balcony of an evening. Breakfast: superb. Roof top pool: just amazing, plenty of sun beds with a view to die for. The hotel is a 10-15 min walk into Bol, which has a great selection of restaurants, catering for all tastes. It’s also a 20 min walk, all along a shaded pine walk to Zlatni Rat Beach. We will be returning.

The hotel is a short walk from the ferry port, but note that it’s up a hill. It took us about 20 minutes to walk from the ferry port, and it’s maybe another 2 minutes to Zlatni Rat, but along the way there are so many lovely bars and restaurants. It’s a beautifully designed hotel and we loved the modern look. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a large balcony, albeit sheltered from the sun. The shower was fantastic and the bed was comfortable. Service was great from everyone, and we liked the option of a freshly made coffee at breakfast. The breakfast options were great for a hotel of this size, and we had different options each day. The rooftop pool area was clean and we liked being able to order drinks using the intercom system. It seemed strange to us that there were no pool umbrellas, but it didn’t impact our enjoyment. The view from the pool area is amazing; you can see across to Zlatni Rat. There is some access to gym equipment but it’s limited and across different floors. We would definitely stay in this hotel again.

I was left feeling quite disappointed with my stay here. Whilst I appreciated the modern design, the amazing rooftop view and the cleanliness of the rooms, as well as good location, my husband and I would definitely not stay here again. We were on our honeymoon, and arrived to find that we had been given a room with an interconnecting (locked) door to another room. This only became really apparent when the guests of the other room arrived back and we could hear everything (conversation, yawning, sniffing, going to the toilet). After politely asking the reception staff if there was another room available, we were upgraded. The lady who we spoke to about this was absolutely lovely and we cannot rate her customer service and interpersonal skills highly enough. She is actually the reason I have given three and not two stars. However, as several people I have told this to have said to me, it makes you wonder about a hotel when they put a couple who are on their honeymoon in such a room (and yes, they were aware it was our honeymoon as they asked if we wanted to pay €60 for room decoration and fizz when we booked). We are a couple very little sense of entitlement albeit perhaps high expectations given the reviews of this place, and we were left questioning the thought processes around the decision to give us an interconnecting room. There were several other things that put us off about this hotel: It advertises on its website the homemade jams it makes and the freshly baked cakes, breads and rolls. This is one of the reasons I booked this hotel. The jam was in fact Tiptree mini jars from Essex. Not homemade; and therefore they are lying on their website, which is very off-putting. There was a (I think) homemade cake on two out of the five mornings, but certainly not all the mornings. And the bread... I am unconvinced this was freshly baked, unless they are including pre-packaged breads which you shove in an oven to bake. For some people, this may not be a problem, but for me, who wants to go on holiday and experience local and homemade food, it was. What was even more of a problem, is the service at breakfast. Coming downstairs the reception staff and waiting staff all say hello (lovely and very much appreciated, do not get me wrong), however at no point did we have someone come to our table to ask us if we wanted to order anything from the cooked to order menu or if we wanted a coffee. I had to get out of my seat twice to order coffees, and on the other occasions we had to wait, wave and call out to get the attention of the waiting staff to come to our table. For a four star hotel, I am quite taken back by this. The lack of any shuttle option to and from the port is also slightly disappointing, probably more so for people who dislike walking. My husband and I are very fit and healthy and love walking, however we found the 20min walk with relatively little luggage up the gradually inclining street leading to the hotel very taxing. Taxis are
