Days Inn by Wyndham Chesterfield Tibshelf

Needed convenient stopping point from Surrey to Chestefield, one night, for a funeral. Location ideal. Despite proximity to M1 itself, road noise was not excessive. Receptionist was really welcoming; gave me a choccie bar and bottle of water. You can stroll to the services for Mcdonald's or Costa - and WH Smith etc, (if open). . The overall decor is a bit 'tired' but everything was clean, bed fresh, coffee/tea facilities. Would have preferred the radio to be fitted by the bedside not table across the room (!). Freeview TV quite adequate for one night........ Bedroom was huge (guess it would double up as a family room at times) - and possibly I could have taken my dog with me, in which case the extra space was great. For functionality cannot fault.

We had an overnight stay at this hotel. The location is just minutes from the M1. The staff were friendly and helpful. Yes we experienced problems with the key cards but resolved without fuss. Room was clean and beds very comfortable. We didn't experience any noise. There was plenty of tea/coffee and toiletries in the room. The breakfast had plenty of variety and good quality. Car parking just outside. A very good stay at a reasonable price. Can also recommend the Harvester next door. We had a very good meal and the staff were lovely.

10/10 Sitting in the beer garden you wouldn’t believe your so close to the M1. This hotel has a warm and friendly atmosphere at all times and the food in the restaurant is very nice and well cooked. House keeping keep the rooms incredibly tidy and clean and the staff here are very welcoming and helpful. Special thanks to Maddy and Ruby for delivering outstanding customer service.

My team and I stayed in two separate room and the first room (8) was excellent, couldn't fault it. Plenty of space, clean and very well equipped. Internet connection was excellent and there were plenty of sockets close to the bed. The second room (62) wasn't so good. There was a large black mark in the bath, the room was cold and I couldn't get the heating to stay warm and there was a large purple panel light above the bed which changed the colour of everything else in the room. Wifi was non-existent in this room there I couldn't connect to the internet. The only sockets in the room were near the desk therefore, without an extension lead, nothing near the bed. Parking is plentiful although the spaces are too small for any sensible sized car. If you don't mind parking a distance away, straddling two parking spaces seems to be the order of the day so avoid gymnastics getting in and out of your car or scratched to the paintwork. The restaurant is nothing special, food was OK but not outstanding. The Toby Carvery which is about 15 minutes drive away was much nicer and slightly cheaper. The staff were extremely pleasant and I'd recommend this place just on their conduct. Unfortunately the hotel is let down by the higher numbered rooms and narrow parking spaces.

This was our first visit out to a hotel in a long time. I felt the hotel had made a good attempt to cover all the bases in terms of hygiene. I wish they had said there would be no robes and slippers in the premier room because I wouldn’t of booked it if I had known. However the service was excellent the room was clean, and the food we had in the bar area was really well put together, and I would certainly stay there again. Special mention goes to I think his name was Matt on reception!

Clean but bed was uncomfortable. Ok if your passing through but not one for a family stay
