We stayed for 3 nights at the hotel and booked a Gallery Double Room (no 201). We arrived early and was warmly greeted and immediately offered glass of port & pastel de nata ..... well why not ! Our room wasn't ready but we were able to get the paperwork done and leave our bags which was great (and they popped them in the room whilst we were out). The room isn't large but for a city break was fine - nice comfy bed, one comfy chair, TV and mini bar. The hotel provide complimentary water in the rooms. The bathroom was good and nice shower which was over the bath. One small gripe (and sadly this hotel isn't alone in this) but they need to provide more hangers in the wardrobe. Yes, most people will only be staying for a few nights but even so couples need more than 4 hangers ! .... even if they are nice ones. Breakfast wasn't extensive but all the usual fare was available - cereals, yogurt, fruit, bread, as well as a toaster :-), and a selection of pastries (including mini pastel de nata's). Tea & Coffee are ordered fresh. They only seem to have small amounts on offer at the buffet so by the time two of you have had some fruit juice, or cereals the juice or milk need filling again ...... same with the bread. The buffet was regularly stocked but just seems like an opportunity to make more available at the outset. The hotel is located in a quiet street a little away from the main centre (which is one of the reasons we chose it) but its still only a 10min walk to the main shopping street or about 25mins to the Luis I bridge. The hotel has a comfy bar area but this was pretty quiet when we stayed (empty on two of the evenings) and offers free WiFi's which was very good.
