Mercure Swansea Hotel

Nice location, helpful staffs and many interesting places around there.

We’ve stayed in this hotel lots of times but it now needs some refurbishing. The areas all look tired including the bedroom and bathroom. We had a superior room overlooking the lake but one window was completely steamed up blocking some of the view. The toilet wouldn’t flush properly and the corridors are all scruffy. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast is excellent. Lots of choice. Parking is easy So lots of good points. Just needs some TLC

Plenty of on site parking. On arrival the check in was easy and quick. The room was spotless clean. I have food allergies and the waitress went back and forth taking to the chef to advise what I could eat. Dinner was very nice. Few odd things about the room, there was only three double plug sockets one for the kettle and hairdryer in the lobby of the room. One for the tv which was behind it and one more on the desk. None by the bed. There was a stand up light but no way to plug it in? ( no plug sockets ) The tv was unplugged on arrival, I tuned it in but found no channels? It was an old Ariel tv, maybe a more modern upgrade is needed to keep up with competition? Thankfully I had my laptop with a lead long enough to reach from the power point the other side of the room!

Hotel was really worn out. Though breakfast was really good and fresh on a Sunday morning after a very busy Saturday night.

As soon as we entered the hotel we were greeted with a big hello from a passing member of staff that really stood out for me we later got the pleasure of meeting her again at the bar! She took the time to talk to us, recommended the steak ciabatta, which was amazing! Kelly Westwood you were an absolute pleasure! And definitely made us feel welcome, all the staff we encountered were great just felt the need to mention Kelly in particular as she stood out, will definitely be staying here again! Thank you all for such a pleasant stay

Really nice hotel clean and staff very friendly especially niall who was a total gentleman he even offered to help take my luggage upstairs which has bver happened before from a receptionist really went out of his way to help us exceptional service thanks for a stress free Stay

Lovely room comfortable bed enjoyed the quietness of good night sleep. would recommend

This hotel was was amazing to stay at yes it could do with a fresh lick of paint you can tell the room was freshly cleaned for my stay and some updates need doing like the bathroom but the bed was comfy the staff was great minus the young guy on the front desk I beleieve his name was nyle all he said to me was (name). the bar staff was very friendly especially Andrea lovely women I didnt have food but the service I had was great... In the morning all i could see was rooms being cleaned to the standards that people expect them to be
