We initially were not interested in this property but LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. We love to hike and this is a hiking Mecca. The property is not fancy or new. Some dated features. But we only slept there in essence. So it was comfortable. We had everything we needed. It was an easy in and out property. The staff to check us in and out was very pleasant. We enjoyed the hot tub after our hikes. The bathrooms were very accommodating. We did run out of hot water in our Chalet our first day there. So we ended up preferring to shower in the pool/hot tub facility. The washer and dryer were important to us as it helped us pack a bit lighter. Our last load, the dryer was struggling to dry. The internal filter we guessed needed cleaning out as I kept the inside filter cleaned.

Rustic cabin but good. Pool is nice. Close enough to tourist attractions. Good walking path around golf course

This resort is immaculately clean but a bit old fashioned. If you don’t mind that aspect of this resort, it is otherwise a perfect place to relax and unwind, maybe play a round of golf and enjoy the cool breezes.

The resort has a great view and it is fun watching the golfers. It is also very quiet. Because it is located at 3,000 ft in altitude, it was cool while the lowlands were burning up.

The website states that the 2 bedroom units are cabins. We were put in a "condo" even though we did not see anyone in the cabins. We had two elderly women with us. The website says there are twin beds in one of the two rooms. When we checked in and got to our unit, it had two full-size beds. I called the office and was told that since we had already entered the unit, per RCI policy they could not change us to a different unit. The unit needed cleaning. There was stuff all over the front of the refrigerator and the bathrooms weren't clean. There were also holes in the ceilings in both bathrooms. There was no iron or ironing board in the unit. You had to go "check one out at the office." There were no chairs on the porch to sit and enjoy morning coffee. There was one picnic table for 2 units sitting beside the air conditioner. Positives: The beds were comfortable. Great location especially if you enjoy hiking and outdoors. I would not recommend this "resort." I would not classify it as a resort.

Willow Valley is conveniently located to all of the things we enjoy for vacation. Accommodations are clean and affordable. Staff is very nice. We were arriving after hours, they put our cabin keys in a lockbox so we could get settled before they opened. This year we had the downstairs unit in one of their cabin style buildings. It was nice that a washer/dryer was in the unit. There is also a wood burning fireplace. There are no other cabins within eyesight so it was very private. We only had neighbors above us for the first 2 nights. We stayed for 13 days. Sleeper sofa mattress was not comfortable but the queen bed in the BR was comfortable. A family of 8 deer came by just about every morning so it was fun to watch them. Pool and hot tub area was very clean.

We were downstairs in a 1 bedroom condo…the stairs are scary and very steep. The lights outside near the steps don’t work and it makes it very dark if you are checking in after dark. The dishwasher leaked all over the kitchen and the carpet. I called immediately and the office didn’t seemed to care and said they didn’t have anyone from maintenance until 2pm (it was Sunday). We left for a while but no one ever came. We used every towel to mop up all the water and even turned on the box fan to help dry up the water. Looking at the cabinet it definitely wasn’t the first time because you can tell there was previous water damage. This place definitely needs some serious updates. Not a bad place and affordable for the mountains if you just want to get away.

Willow Valley has perfect location for a nice getaway. There is something for everyone especially those that enjoy the outdoors, hiking, winter sports of all kinds and close enough to Boone for big city conveniences.

This was the typical older resort found in a timeshare. We enjoyed the nature and quiet. Lots to do and see in surrounding areas such as sightseeing, wineries and hiking. We were a bit early for full foliage but it was beautiful with many colorful wildflowers.
