The cener is a beautiful place to calm down as it is surrounded by nature. It has an incrediblly nice terrace where you can enjoy almost the whole day, the sun. The staff is also very nice, pleasant and helpful. The food was awesome and very creative. I only gave 4 stars as the rooms were very basic, but also okay.

I was there for Arielle Schwartz weekend and felt that she was an excellent presenter A++ and the content was expertly and thoughtfully communicated. Loved the vibe of the retreat center, the setting in the mountains was breath taking , the staff was so friendly and delightful, the campus was lovely, the food was nourishing and kitchari was delicious. The gift shop... such beautifully curated and merchandised treasures!!! The staff there was so pleasant to shop with, very helpful. I had a treatment at the spa that was amazing! Just a few notes for improvements .. as I tend to be highly sensitive to some things: The main program hall felt a bit damp and had slight mildewy smell. It could have been more comfortable temperature wise, it was pretty warm & sunny outside and there were no fans going in the room and the side doors were only open for part of the time. I heard mention that the fans were not being used due to the noise level. I wish there had been better air circulation in the room. I also found the bolsters (and blankets )to have that mildew smell and they were quite smushed down to about half of their initial size. They could use a good disinfecting wash and restuffing. The dining hall temperature was also quite warm for me. Again, not many fans running at all and air not circulating I had to walk around the dining hall searching for the couple fans that actually were on and seat myself directly in front to cool off. My guest room was in Zambezi 102. There was mildew on the shower tiles and the shower curtain. The pillows were not that comfortable due to some weird bubble thing covering the zipper pull. The desk chair was broken and I almost flipped over when I leaned back a bit. The room was adjacent to front porch entrance and the light shined brightly into my window all night ... I didn't want to pull the blackout drapes closed because that would close off the airflow from the open windows and make the room hotter and less comfortable. The relaxation room at the spa was hot and stuffy! definitely did not want to relax in there and sweat!

I experienced one of their signature offerings, The Happiness Retreat. The retreat was an amazing and welcome respite from my business schedule and I walked away with a number of tools to help me manage a busy life. The accommodations are comfortable and the mountains are pure magic. Get up early, walk the property and experience nature. I also thoroughly enjoyed the food, but keep in mind—it is plant based.

The center is really well-done -- it's a retreat specializing in meditation and healthy living and it embodies what it teaches. The setting is spectacular, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and the food is remarkably good. Okay, frankly I'm an omnivore and I was not enthusiastic about eating vegan all week, but I was always satisfied and occasionally remarkably surprised with what they could do with a diet (Ayurveda ) even more restrictive than vegan. There are a choice of programs, some done by the retreat, others hosted by the retreat but presented by others. I went to a latter one, which, too, was a great experience.

This space was beautiful, the food amazing, the retreat rooms were simple, comfortable and just what I needed for a good night's rest. The staff was friendly and helpful and the chef helped me navigate some allergies, personally touching base with me before each meal. I felt very supported while I was there!

It was beautiful there! The views were incredible, the food was delicious, staff was friendly and helpful. It was a lovely place to wind down and connect with other like minded souls. I had gone there as part of a nurse coaching collective and we all loved it there!

I attended the Happiness retreat and it was a very enlightening and empowering experience. I learned some amazing breathing techniques that I am looking forward to incorporating into my daily routine. When I left I felt happy, relaxed, and rejuvenated. The campus is beautiful and the food phenomenal.

The property and offerings are unparalleled. The staff was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend taking advantage of class offerings outside of the individual retreat experience as well. The food, atmosphere, and principles of Ayurveda that I learned were transformational. The Art of Living Retreat Center is a hidden gem…. As a person living with a disability, I feel I can’t give a full five star rating due to some unfortunate situation with accessibility issues when an elevator broke the week that I was staying there which prevented me from attending classes as well as my final spa treatment I do feel I relayed what my accessibility needs were very clearly when I registered; however, I was never informed that the main dining room does not have an accessible restroom, an identified alternative in the spa when the elevator is not operational for guests who may need access, or staff that is sensitive to not asking the person with the disability to address the issue, but for them to be proactive and handle it in a timely and respectful way, which was frustrating.
