Un petit bijou dans une cour arborée. Accueil charmant par Pierre et son épouse. Le salon du Rez de chaussée accessible H24 pour prendre une boisson chaude et se poser est top. Chambre très agréable, propreté impeccable et décorée avec goût. Silencieux et confortable. On recommande !

Die Tram A1 vom Flughafen (€ 1,90 für eine Fahrt) bringt die Besucher in knapp 40 Minuten zur Haltestelle „St. Bruno-Hôtel de Region“ (nach Hôtel de Police), wobei es sich jeweils nicht um ein Hotel, sondern einen Verwaltungssitz handelt. Von der Tramhaltestelle sind es dann etwa 7 Gehminuten zur unscheinbaren Rue Brizard 42. Nach einem Code öffnet sich das große Eisentor zu einem mit Zypressen geschmückten Eingang und einem Kleinod: eine Villa (französisch Chambre d’Hôtes) mit nur vier Zimmern/Appartements, liebevoll von der Eigentümerfamilie renoviert. Unser „Hippolyte mon Plaisir“ für einige Tage lag im ersten Stock mit einem schönen Balkon, einem Doppelbett, kleinem Duschbad, extra WC und einem Ankleidebereich. Über einer Treppe integriert, befanden sich noch zwei Einzelbetten, die eventuell für Kinder gedacht sind. Hinter Schiebetürschränken gab es genügend Staumöglichkeiten, Bücher über die Region und für Kinder standen in Regalen. Morgens wird ein kleines Frühstück serviert mit Croissants, Brötchen, Marmelade, Orangensaft, Obst und einem Teller mit etwas Wurst und Käse sowie Kaffee oder Tee in kleinem irdenen Geschirr. Am Nachmittag kann sich der Gast im Speisezimmer Kaffee/Tee zubereiten und ein Madeleine nehmen. Der überaus freundliche und hilfsbereite Besitzer Pierre ist immer ansprechbar. Er fand und telefonierte z.B. für uns einen Schuhmacher (Cordonnier). Unser Wunsch für zwei Bettdecken statt einer wurde gleich erfüllt. Auch sein Sohn Antoine war sehr zugewandt. Vermißt haben wir einen Safe (obwohl die Villa sehr sicher wirkt) und einen Wasserkocher im Zimmer, weil wir gleich nach Wachwerden gerne einen ersten Kaffee trinken. Wer etwas kleines Besonderes in familiärer Atmosphäre sucht, ist in diesem Kleinod genau richtig aufgehoben. Das sehen auch internationale Gäste so, z. Beispiel aus Colorado, die nicht so lange bleiben, und sind des Lobes voll.

Cannot recommend this B&B enough! Pierre is a delightful host. Our apartment was spotlessly clean, unbelievably so and the decor was beautiful. It was also extremely quiet. We had our own little outdoor area too. Breakfast was a delicious selection of croissants, bread, fresh fruit, ham and cheese. Pierre also provided gluten free bread for us. The tram is a 5 minute walk away or you could walk the 20 minutes into the centre of Bordeaux.

We stayed in la Chartreuse for 2 nights in the chambre "Marie Brizard". We met Pierre and Pascal who are just the best hosts very welcoming and helpful for anything we asked of them. Located on the first floor of the building. This spacious room was very clean and perfect for our stay and has its own private terrace. The house is set back from the road which ensures a perfectly quiet environment. There is also a beautiful terrace garden. The breakfast is lovely with the best croissants I have ever had but also including great bread, fruit, meats and cheese, yogurts and excellent coffee. We chose this one based on reviews and location and they are not wrong. Very easy to walk into the centre of the city or jump on the tram which is just a couple of minutes walk away. If we were to return to Bordeaux this is the place for us. One thing to note (and nothing to do with the hotel) if you wish to go to the local swimming pool located around the corner you will need the correct swimwear and swim cap to enter something British tourists forget but they have a vending machine so you can buy no problem!

Stayed in la Chartreuse last wk for 3nights (mid july)we were met by Pierre and all we can say was what a gentleman, he couldn't do enough for us ,we were stuck in mid of the aerlingus strike and were worried about getting their ,Pierre was so understanding which took the worry off run up to flight but thankfully all flights went on time ,the accommodation was stunning ,if anyone watches escape to la château then this is worth visiting, it's a short walk from bordeaux city center ,when u walk though those gates your in for a pleasant surprise, breakfast was fabulous and generous, if there are ratings I would give it 10 out of 10 and I'm fussy 😎

Très bel endroit, accueil chaleureux et informations utiles pour le séjour, Chambre très agréable, spacieuse et extrêmement calme, Déplacement professionnel pour lequel je devais partir tôt le matin à 6h. Pierre et sa femme m’ont laissé de quoi prendre un petit déjeuner en autonomie les deux matins. C’était très attentionné de leur part. Je recommande ce logement proche du centre historique de Bordeaux avec les restaurants animés.

We stayed for 5 nights in the chambre "Marie Brizard", located on the first floor of the beautifully restored building. This spacious room has been decorated with exquisite taste, and has its own private terrace. The house is set back from the road, which ensures a perfectly quiet environment. Breakfast was generous and we felt that the owners, Pierre and Pascale, are fully committed to providing the best possible experience for their guests. No detail has been overlooked. In addition, "La Chartreuse" is located within comfortable walking distance of the centre of Bordeaux.
