Great location, minutes walk to the commons and public gardens. Room is very clean and service was excellent!

The room is large and comes with free bottled water and snacks, which is a big surprise. The hotel is in a great location. The red and orange lines are nearby, and Macy’s is only a few steps away.

The hotel's location is excellent and travel is very convenient. There are several subway lines within a few minutes' walk. There are many shopping and eating places around. The hotel room is not equipped with a small refrigerator, which is the only dissatisfaction.

Good service, clean rooms, convenient transportation

The executive double room I booked has a view in the picture, and I also specially checked the details of the facilities to mark the view. But when I entered the room, I was dumbfounded. The room is not only small, but the windows are not big. They are located in the corner. When the curtains are opened, there are countless windows on the left and right walls, extending out like a narrow alley. There is no scenery at all. Every day, no matter day or night You have to close the curtains. The only saving grace of this hotel is that the hygiene is okay.

The room is quite spacious and the price is right

Great hotel is located conveniently central location in Boston easy access to all major subway stations, restaurants and many more. Hotel staffs are very welcome and helpful. Downstairs George Howell coffee shop is delightful.

Great hotel with wonderful staff. It is also has beautiful rooms. We did have an issue where the floor we stayed in had wet carpet through the halls, so the drying machines ran all night (and were quite noisy), but this would have been a one off. Overall I would stay there again.

the hotel was great. we walked in they gave us all the info, some vouchers for drinks. all things in the room came with the room price which was great. parking near hotel was easy and fairly cheap. great location and would stay again.

Pretty good hotel in a noisy, divey area. It was tough getting to sleep with a rock concert being played in or near the building and drunks shouting in the street.

The staff at The Godfrey was spectacular. Always smiling and helpful and very gracious. Just a few criticisms in my personal opinion… Overall our room was so dim it was hard to see most of the time without opening our drapes, which we didn’t want to do because we were on the 2nd floor facing the street. The brand of coffee in the room for the Keurig was awful and there weren’t nearly enough creamers and sugar to make it taste better. And the in-house coffee shop on the first floor didn’t open until 7:00am, which for early risers who love their coffee when they first wake up isn’t a good thing. The only ice machine was on the 7th floor, which wasn’t convenient at all for those of us on the 2nd floor. The shower style was modern, with only one wall of glass encasing it. The entire right side was completely open and it was impossible to stay warm. It also caused a large puddle when you stepped out and the bath mat was soaking wet. The size of the bathroom was too small to have a shower style like this. It was fun experiencing a stay at new location to us in Boston but I don’t think we’ll stay there again.

Room reservation was for 3 and the pullout wasn’t made. That happens, but the phone in the room was broken and didn’t work.

I gave the hotel 4 stars, but 4.5 would a better reflection of my experience. The Godfrey has a feeling of a European Hotel - excellent service, small rooms, well equipped. I think the bed mattress could have been more comfortable and the sound of the air conditioning in my room was obtrusive. Everything was in excellent condition and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I will definitely consider a repeat stay for my next trip to Boston.

Free snacks daily and complimentary drinks the first night. Great restaurant attached and good coffee shop on the other side of lobby. Great location in central Boston.
