Another wonderful, relaxing stay . Our dog was made most welcome and really treated by the team on site. Proper breakfast sausage every day, treats in our room Lovely food. Piping hot water in a nice big bath at the end of each day. It's a great base to explore Bradford on Avon without being right in the bustle of the town. A pleasant and easy walk along the canal takes you into town. Great cocktail / gin bar with lots of choice

Very disappointed, menus in room out of date so food we had looked forward to was unavailable. Olives and bread on room menu was £8.50 but on paying the new menu had bread as £7.00 and olives tucked away in extras at £4.50, sneaky. The music system in the conservatory was broken and as dog owners we were on our own for a few meals..all coffee/tea and condiments in main restaurant so you have to go and get yourself. The cleaning wasn’t very good, no bed linen changed in the time we stayed, the shower head dirty, mould around bath..the gin menu not updated so choices made they did not have. The dog wash was a dirty tin bath full of rubbish. Conservatory chairs stained. We wanted to leave early but the team couldn’t confirm if we could have a refund as the General Manager was on holiday. This was supposed to be a luxury boutique spa hotel, to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and husbands up and coming 60th birthday.

Surprised and delighted to find such a quirky and tasteful hotel! Such welcoming staff, spotless rooms, the most comfortable bed ever with crisp, impeccable linens, soft fluffy towels and underfloor heating in the bathroom. Eccentric gin bar with knowledgeable staff and a freshly cooked menu breakfast to die for. Can't wait to return.

Great spot for a business trip to the area
Staff were some of the nicest staff i have experienced, from reception to the bar and restaurant. Excellent access to the local area, and room had a good desk to complete my daly reports.

The welcome from staff was fantastic from start to finish. We stayed in the Music room and was not disappointed with the attention to detail. Lovely food and relaxing atmosphere. The lady in charge of the restaurant was so lovely and nothing too much trouble. The location was perfect and we enjoyed a stroll into Bradford upon Avon.

This was a game of two halves. Front of property beautiful, accidentally drove to back car park, very shabby. Reception guy early evening was wonderful, really smiley and helpful, loved the hotel decor and got excited for our stay. Lovely bar and snug. Accessing room 19 through dining room was a little odd and the room was opposite the kitchen back door. Went for a swim, pool needs updating, again very shabby and had a hose stuck through the wall spouting freezing cold water into pool during the hour we were there. Our evening dining experience was horrendous, ordered scallops, pricey at £14.40 but I couldnt wait to enjoy delicious seared scallops, out they came, three tiny scallops the size of a 10p piece, so overcooked I struggled to chew them, partner sent hers back, my son had a burger that had either been recooked or reheated, the meat so dry he was taking s sip of water after every mouthful. The waiting staff not overly bothered about customer service, walked quickly back to the refuge of the kitchen, not offered anything else to drink after first one, left waiting for dessert menu for kids, had to ask in the end, adults had no pudding because food had been somewhere between awful and ok. Owners need to ask friends or mystery shoppers to experience what is being offered here. Could have forgiven tatty areas and rebooked to come back but the dining experience sealed the deal, wont return.

I booked a night away via Secret Escapes for my partner's birthday which included a cream tea and a Super Deluxe double room. When we arrived we were promptly shown to our room which at first seemed lovely (although not quite as luxurious as the pictures online!). Unfortunately however, the toilet in our room did not flush. We spoke to the man on reception who came up and checked it but then informed us that they had no maintenance team onsite and that we would have to use the communal toilet downstairs. I asked if we could change rooms but we were told they were fully booked but that someone would look at it tomorrow. I explained that was disappointing as we were only there for one night, to which the staff member replied "oh that's unfortunate". There was no apology. We went for dinner in the restaurant and ordered a bottle of sparkling water. We were brought a bottle of still water, we explained to the waitress that we had ordered a bottle of sparkling and this was still and she replied "oh the sparkling ones are usually blue". Again no apology for the mix up. The mains in the restaurant are delicious and rival some high-end restaurants we have been to in London but the desserts really let them down. My partner ordered the passionfruit and vanilla creme and it came as a solid block and tasted only of gelatine. Breakfast and the cream tea were nice but average. Upon leaving, we did have an apology from the lady on reception and they gave us £25 off for the broken toilet. But having spent around £380 for the stay and dinner this felt a little insulting. To round it off we realised we had been overcharged for our meal and cocktails! I have not contacted them about it as I have found the whole experience very unhelpful. Two "stars" as the hotel itself is quite nice.
