Hotels near Sulcus Mode, Bratislava

I couldn't fault the staff and ease of check in/out. All very pleasant saying hello or goodbye every time we passed. I loved the location as it was less than 10 minutes walk to the old town. A minute walk to Blue Church and very close to some good restaurants and the Nivy bus station, a 15 minute walk. It's about half an hour walk from the train station. ( Bus 61 from airport to train station €1.20 each for a 30 minute ticket. Journey takes approx 20 minutes. Buy tickets from yellow ticket machine at bus stop and validate the ticket when you get on the bus) We had some great daytrips on Flixbus to Vienna and Brno. So very conveniently located It was also good value for money. We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel but you could pay around €11.60 each They did have a fridge near reception with drinks and snacks. I was happy with the location of the room as it is described as an internal room. It was relativity quiet. No street noise. Maybe the odd noisy resident but they are on holiday. Not a problem at all. It does look like the hotel owners are slowly trying to modernise the place as the private bathroom / toilet was clean and the shower was adequate with plenty of hot water and modern flooring there was a hairdryer, soap and towels. ROOM 101 The room had a TV with local tv channels. There was an option for Netflix which we came across by accident so if you have an account you might be able to watch Netflix. We didn't bother. There was a kettle with cups, glasses and a couple of sachets of coffee./ green tea. A unit with hangers (not really a wardrobe) but it was OK and a chest of drawers in the hallway against a locked door. I do like a fridge which was clean and a bonus as I wasn't expecting the room to have a fridge. The main bedroom itself seemed large enough until you tried to get into the double bed ( two singles pushed together) Old tired divans. This room might be better as a twin room with two single beds against the wall, left side /radiator, the other, with one bedside cabinet in the middle of the two beds with one lamp. This would give enough room to get in and out of each bed more comfortably. The absolute worst thing was the carpet! It is old and filthy with threads exposed. It needs ripping up and nice flooring laid, similar to that in the bathroom would be lovely. It was filthy behind the fridge, the edges under the radiator and worst of all was under the bed! I've never seen so much dust/ filth in a hotel room before. Maybe because there just isn't enough room down the right hand side of the bed to clean properly! It's inaccessible! The pillows and quilts were also stained but I only saw this when I took the covers off just to help the cleaners before we checked out. I know they say you get what you pay for but I've slept in cleaner youth hostels I have still given it 4 stars because of all the other good points. Staff /location. My boyfriend & I stayed here for 2 nights during our inter-railing trip. Upon arrival we were given 2 drink vouchers to enjoy at the bar which was very generous. Furthermore, the staff at reception went above and beyond for us. When we got to the next city as part of our trip I realised I had left something in the hotel which was of sentimental value to me. I emailed the hotel & Maros replied within 24 hours to let me know that they could post my item home that I had left behind. The kindness & willingness of the staff to provide this level of customer service was something I was very grateful for & something that has been somewhat lost to an extent in this modern age. Not only this, the hotel itself is lovely & the rooms are extremely spacious which suited us as we had a lot of luggage. Would definitely recommend a stay here whilst in Bratislava!

Best hotel in centre of Bratislava. We were very pleased with the location of this hotel since it's literally behind presidential palace (what I believe is heart of the city). Historical part is 5-7 mins. walk, train station is 2 bus stops from presidential palace and to go to walk alongside the Danube river it was beautiful. There are many restaurants in city centre and right next to the hotel is a small grocery shop. Hotel is very modern and new, the staff was very nice and helped us when we needed. Girl on reception knew also russian/ukrainian which was nice to see. Hotel as well as room themselves were very clean and everything is proveded. They even have washing machine, dishwasher and kitchen in apartments! It was very convinient for us! We are looking forward to come back on our visit of Bratislava! I stayed two nights in February, the hostel was clean, spacious, light and quite cozy. The hostel feels little bit like a huge flat with many rooms, it has nice and calm/chill atmosphere, I felt there like at home, which I really appreciated. In the big ”living room” there two big tables with chairs (perfect for playing board games), sofa with armchairs and bookshelf with armchair in the corner. In the living room there is always tea/coffee to make, that's very pleasant. There is also a small kitchen, suitable for cooking. Toilets and bathroom were clean and ok. I liked the bed, it was comfortable and didn't make any noise when moving. Rooms are very very spacious. I would like to thank once again to the host, Rado, who was so kind and sent me by a post (for free!) things I forgot in the hostel:)) Next time in Bratislava I'm definitely choosing this hostel again.

One of the most intimate hotels in Eastern Europe. The eyebrows at the front desk are highly praised! The address is in the old town, and you will be surrounded by an assortment of restaurants and unique old town attractions. Hotel dinner is very good, not only the dining environment is wrong, the taste is very good, it is very recommended

when walking in the entrance you automatically feel welcome. The placement of the hotel is ideal for taking in all the sights by foot. the room was nice clean and tidy and the coffee machine a bonus. As hotels go, its a plesant hotel. The thing that I found empressive and stood out to me was the staff, especially the hard working girls in the breakfast room. They deserve a medal!! very attentive and efficient at keeping the breakfast enviroment clean and tidy and paying attention to their clients... Just for these hard working girls the hotel gets full marks from me. often a good hotel is let down by its staff, not here!! well done staff...

We booked 2 rooms via Accor ALL Family 50% off second room offer as we travelled as 2 adults and 2 kids. The rooms are small, but comfortable. The toilet/bathroom is small also but enough for us as we always go out for sightseeing. It is a standard Ibis build like all Ibises. As Gold member we were offered 4 welcome drinks vouchers + free breakfast for all of us. I was pleasantly surprised as normally only Platinum members get free breakfast. Location is convenient considering the price we paid for the rooms. It is close to the Bratislava Castle, and a few minutes walk to the Old Town. Will definitely stay there again.

The hotel is of a good standard and very clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms/apartments were a good size and nicely furnished. The only, but, is that we are 3 ladies over 60. Not only was the walk uphill from the old town quite a challenge, but the hotel car park is a cobbled slope and the entrance to the reception is via 2 sets of stairs one without a handrail. Distance to the old town was not a problem, but the slope getting back was a chore especially in the heat. Definitely don't want to take anything away from how good the hotel is, but think older people or people with mobility issues need to know

Rude and unfriendly service at check in. The hotel was fine in every other respect but having worked in tourism for over 40 years I can honestly say this was the rudest service I have ever experienced. The hotel didn’t have our reservation when we arrived but we showed the man who came out of the kitchen our papers. He couldn’t have cared less. Disappeared off. Came back with his lunch. When we pointed at our luggage to indicate the tour operator knew we were supposed to be there he replied ‘that’s nice’ in the most sarcastic way. When we asked where to put our bikes he marched outside and pointed down the street. It could have been in the Roman museum for all I could tell. This man is no doubt the Basil Fawlty of the Austrian hotel industry. But not in a good way!
