Loved this hotel. The beds were so comfortable. The pillows were soft. The room was impeccably clean, the service was wonderful. The breakfast was actually good. Fresh apples, sausage gravy, yogurt, omelettes, waffles, juices, muffins, eggs. I assume it’s owned by an individual as the fall decor and the sweet cat at the front desk made the experience pretty sweet too. I rarely write reviews for random hotels when we are driving across the country. But this one was special. 5 Star for the price, service, cleanliness, ease of access and a wonderful night’s sleep.

I was a little skeptical that this hotel had such a low rating. However once I checked in myself and the others I was with we all said the same thing. The rating doesn't accurately describe the hotel. The staff is excellent, the rooms are clean & the pool area is nice. I've stayed at far more expensive hotels that the service and rooms weren't as nice. Plus Mamma Cat was a nice addition to the hotel. So if you are looking for a hotel that has great service and a clean room at a reasonable price this is your hotel.

5 out of 5. We have family in the area and generally stay in Baton Rouge or Port Allen. This was an unexpected trip and quickly realized LSU was playing at home against another SEC team. Some of the hotels were asking $300 for the weekend. Henderson is just as close to family and away from Baton Rouge crazy. The hotel was full, but you would never know it based on the service we received. Everything was clean, not just the rooms, thank you Ashiley, and that is first impression. Most hotels we have stayed at you never saw anyone during breakfast for assistance. Christine was always restocking, asking people if they needed anything, and out in the dining area visiting and available. That is very much appreciated. Of course I couldn’t forget to mention Momma. Always friendly in the morning and seems to be waiting just outside the hotel door waiting for us to come back. As busy as the hotel was, everyone was so friendly. Regardless of why we are in Louisiana, this will be our go to hotel.

I dont like leaving bad reviews but this is the 1st hotel i've ever seen who let animals roam the place freely. Its disgusting & made us uncomfortable. That cat need to be put up so that guests can check in comfortably. Everybody do not like animals & some of us are allergic. Wont be staying here again

Very clean and comfortable hotel. Fairly quiet for being close to the expressway. Security guard at night was keeping an eye on the parking lot. Good breakfast selection. Pleasant staff. Just like things used to be in the good old days and what we used to expect from our hotels. A bonus was that they accept pets and have a very reasonable pet fee. Definitely would stay here again. Well managed and well run Holiday Inn!

The answer is yes! So do not hesitate with booking a reservation! Not only are the rooms big and clean, but the service from the staff is phenomenal!!! Tracy was so welcoming and made sure that we found a restaurant that was open at the time to eat and went out of her way to be so kind to everyone! She needs a RAISE!!! And the security guard was so friendly and I saw him patrolling the area making me feel so safe!!! He definitely needs a RAISE. Oh and the breakfast!!! Soooo good and so many options. Like 20-25 different things to pick from.

Seamless check-in, friendly staff, clean room, comfy bed. Staff genuinely care about the guest experience, signs say if your stay was not 100% good to let them know so that they can improve and you get the feeling that they really mean it. The home baked cookies were a lovely touch. Also, a hotel cat (Momma), what's not to love?!

Had to change checkin date and were told the price would be higher. Was ok with that. Requested a first floor room because of our dog but when we arrived we were given a second floor room. All night long the microwave in our room was making a clicking noise. Didn't want to change rooms at midnight because we had just driven 12 hours. In the morning between 8:15 and 8:30 am the breakfast room was out of coffee, out of eggs and out of cinnamon rolls. Didn't have time to hang around waiting for a new batch of food. Our room was clean, but due to the other issues we will not stay here again.
