Pension Rose is a part of Hotel Rose and located about 30 metres away from the main hotel. I stayed for a couple of nights in July of 2022 and was quite happy with my stay overall. I arrived in Breclav by train and was able to reach the hotel on foot in about 20 minutes. The walk was undemanding as the ground was quite flat all the way. You need to check in and out of Pension Rose at the reception desk of Hotel Rose. Once you're checked in, you'll get a set of keys that include a key for the large gate to the pension property as well as keys to the main door of the pension building and your own room. The check in clerk I dealt with spoke reasonable English and the check in process was not difficult. The pension building is well maintained and clean and my room was a decent size and comfortable. It was equiped with a desk, a pair of comfortable chairs as well as a decent sized flat screen television. The pension has a small kitchenette on the main floor if you're the self-catering type and there is also a small pool and sunbathing terrace on the property. The pool was clean and perfectly adequate for cooling off in the South Moravian summer heat. As the pension is in a semi-residential area and only a couple of floors high, you won't be getting any great views. If your reservation includes breakfast, you will need to go to the dining room in the main hotel for that. There is a larger restaurant attached to Hotel Rose, so larger meals are not far away. An additional plus to staying in Pension Rose is its close proximity to Breclav's outdoor swimming pool. This is particularly handy if you want to cool down and want something bigger than the pension's pool. This comes with the caveat that I'm not sure how much linguistic flexibility you may find with the city pool's staff. The only small criticism I have (and it should be easy enough for the hotel to fix) is that the lock and latch on the large entry gate to the pension property were difficult and took some time and manipulating to open. Overall, I have no problem recommending Pension Rose if you're a budget traveller staying in Breclav for a few days.
