The Lion Hotel

Had a lovely night here, room was small but cosy. Everything was spotless and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of fruit, pastries and cereals and delicious cooked options. Will definitely book again.

Second time at restaurant for Sunday lunch, first time around it was very nice, this second time was a total disaster and completely the opposite experience. Arrived with friends and had to wait ages for starters to turn up, which were average, this was then followed by diabolical service as we waited over 50 minutes for our mains to arrive, and during this time none of the staff thought it may be a good idea to remove our starter plates, and cutlery even though the staff walked past our table severaltimes, in the end we placed all of the plates ect onto the empty table next to us. I got the impression that there was no one in charge and the staff were just left to it. Eventually, the mains turned up they were luke warm, veg was rock hard, no gravy, beef was tasteless. Having complained to staff about all these issues, got a mumbled apology, but still wanted to charge a full bill at the end of the meal, eventually got 25% off the bill which was just the equivalent to one main, The sad thing is the staff didn't seem that bothered, the couple next to us said it is very hit and miss, I got the impression this is the norm, definitely won't be going back there again.

Hotel in the centre of Brewood with good restaurant attached. Service could have been a little quicker but quality of food was excellent. Accommodation was good.

Very good all round Stayed for 3 weeks on business. Staff were excellent, beers were good. Quality of the food was great and generously portioned. Room very comfortable, no issues with the shower. Very good all round.

Excellent and rather quirky hotel. Large public car park to the rear. Rooms very clean and every one is different. Restaurant is excellent and good drinks choices. The breakfast was the best I have ever experienced in all my traveling years - see the photo. Super helpful staff was the icing on the cake.

I have just returned after 3 great nights at this gem of a hotel. The staff were amazing. I didn't book a special room but I believe it was Oscar who took us to the room and noticed I was struggling (my balance is no good. But I hate to admit it) very discreetly he asked my partner if a room on a lower floor would be better. It was. During my stay my partner had family problems so I ate dinner on my but the staff were absolutely brilliant. The hotel is full of character and I highly recommend it.
