Check in was great. Our room was ready at 10am. The nice lady at the reception told us where everything was. Sea view was a bit limited, as there was another hotel in front of the hotel and we therefore only had a side view of the sea and in front we looked at the roof of the other hotel. At check out we told the receptionist (different than at check in) that we need a taxi at 3pm in the afternoon and if she could reserve one. She promised us that she would order a taxi for us. You forgot to call the taxi. So we were 30 minutes late

All rooms face the ocean , large comfortable rooms , spotlessly clean . In need of updating especially the bathroom . Reception staff not as friendly as I would expect in Barbados quite off hand to be honest , restaurant on site pretty poor , not much choice continental breakfast not worth having as only one choice off menu and that wasn’t a lot . Breakfast from 7am quite often no one serving until gone 8.30 which isn’t good when you want to get on with your day , they ran out of coffee and orange juice , honestly these are the basics . We visited the supermarket and had breakfast in our room , great self catering kitchen area a bonus I wish we had paid extra for breakfast . Security staff very friendly and helpful . A little disappointed due to all the positive reviews I was expecting more . The position certainly makes the hotel not the staff . Still worth a visit if looking for a budget self catering holiday . Customer service is the key which I feel needs a lot of improvement .

Our favourite Caribbean island and we will be back. I think when we come next time we would definitely upgrade to a bigger apartment style room, as we looked into those and they were more spacious, bigger kitchen, living area etc. However the price we paid and the beautiful beach and sea view we had it was amazing. The bathrooms especially could do with a big refurb, re grout, remove the shower curtain and upgrade to a rainfall shower etc. If it were to be refurbished it would be 10/10 especially due to the south coast location. The hotel is on the dated side which we were fully aware of and alot of the hotels are dated when it comes to barbados, unless you are in more of a resort. The room was clean and cleaned daily which was the most important thing. As for the food and drink, we did not really eat in the hotel as we were always out exploring the beautiful island! My partner had the fish cutter from the hotel which he enjoyed! We had drinks and the rum punch which were great, we particularly recommend the smoothies. Although i didn't hear bad things about the food, we did also find it on the pricier side, considering everything is on your doorstep for cheaper. The hotel itself was very quiet but this was due to us being there off season and before the main crop over events, this made it even more peaceful for us. However im not sure how easy it would be to get a sun lounger by the pool or beach if it was full. The pool areas were lovely with sea views easily seen from both. There was no entertainment in the hotel for when we were there, but we were not expecting it as its not a resort. We wish they cleaned up some of the seaweed off the beach when we had a few days of increased seaweed. The staff are amazing at the hotel shout out to TISHA, CHANELLE, AMANDA,CHANTELLE, REGGIE <3. We will miss you all, thanks for providing information that we needed especially bus routes and restaurant advice! As for location this is PERFECT for the south coast, there is so much to do on the island and you do NOT need to be all inclusive in barbados. For the supermarkets there is a massey, petrol station 24hr shop, trident all within 5 minute walk away, to get food and drink for your rooms. You are 15 minute walk from the gap which obviously has all your restaurants, also 15 minute walk away from the boardwalk which has a few more restaurants. Also plenty of bus stops around for the reggae vans to go up to bridgetown or oistins for only 3.50bd. Taxis are pricier so for west coast ideally hire a car, on average was around 70bd for west coast. But hire a car to make it easier to explore the whole island if you can! Try worthing food court 5 minutes away from the hotel, amazing authentic street food! I have listed below some places to see and eat The hotel is in need of some refurbishment, the pillows we did find lumpy, the wifi was temperamental cutting in and out and the bathroom is particularly in need of updating. HOWEVER the beautiful white sand beach

Good hotel in a great location. The hotel backs onto the beach, with amazing views and lucky enough to see turtles laying their eggs! The hotel is on a main road which is noisy, but didn’t really disrupt our sleep. The staff were very friendly, we didn’t eat in the restaurant but getting drinks was very slow. When we arrived at the hotel, with our 6 month old baby they tried to charge us 15 US dollars a night for a cot which we refused - I feel this is very poor when you’ve already paid for a hotel. The pools are also a lot smaller in person, but overall good hotel!

2 week stay at a lovely hotel. Staff; friendly, helpful and spot on, always smiling and pleasant. Restaurant: drinks prices are expensive, though at 10bbd a bottle of beer, we would of paid this If the staff were not so rude, Hotel itself is perfectly located, within easy reach of Rockley Beach, Shops, Restaurants, Worthing court and not forgetting the devinchies pub for a flask of rum, bottle of coke and bucket of ice and the best fish cutter and amazingly cheap priced (turn right out the hotel and it’s near the traffic lights) The fact that all rooms have a sea view is fantastic, the rooms are cleaned daily and shower gel/shampoo pumps provided. Maybe a little dated, though we did not go to Babados to sit in our room, want posh you will pay double even triple. The only negative which the hotel has no control over Mother Nature, is the seaweed/sea grass, we had 4 days of beautiful Caribbean clear sea to swim in, the remaining 10 days the sea was ruined by Seagrass, yet Carlisle Bay was clear, so no hardship to jump on a reggae bus. We would definitely book this hotel again in a heart beat, the location is amazing and price spot on.

What a perfect first visit to Barbados. Coral Mist ticked all the boxes from start to finish. All rooms so close to the beach and ocean, you could practically touch it. Room 323, perfect room, amazing facilities, cleaned every day by our lovely maid. Full kitchen, fridge freezer, full cooker, every cooking pot/pan, microwave, coffeemaker, kettle and toaster. Bed very comfortable and huge, sleep quality very good (after getting used to the sound of the waves on the first night). Should we return to Barbados one day we would definitely stay at Coral Mist again

People are wonderful definitely recommend we were upgraded to a superior room on the fourth floor which was lovely. Everyone is very friendly. We lay at the pool at the blue orchid which had a lovely breeze where you could watch the sunset had some take away food from the restaurant which was nice big portion.

We have just finished our stay here and loved everything about it! All the staff were so helpful and friendly, the view and it actually being a beachfront hotel was perfect! The rooms were really clean, spacious and just great for us. The location of the hotel was ideal with supermarkets, a cool food court market and a really pretty boardwalk basically on the doorstep! We also watched a turtle lay her eggs one night on the beach! We will be definitely be returning to this beautiful island and hotel, thank you so much for an amazing stay!

My sister in law and I love this home from home. The location, the staff and the chill of this place is special. Special thank you’s to Shanice, Sinitta, Reggie, Liverpool and Denise amongst many more I could mention. The welcome from Reggie and his amazing memory made us feel so at home as soon as we got out of our cab, then to find shanice and Sinitta still there and again remembering us was very special. The amount of returning clients speaks volumes about this place and the same staff. The rooms are clean and generally spacious. The room we were allocated was great, but we asked to be moved to the section we had stayed in previously and shanice organised this as soon as she could. The restaurant has upped its game and has super staff and the menu, albeit small was executed very well. Maybe a little bar near the pool might encourage more business with some simple lunchtime food maybe grilled being offered. That being said a member of staff from the restaurant came round to see if we had any orders for lunch everyday. There is only one little criticism and that is the beach. On staying previously the beach was raked and pristine every morning, sadly this did not happen and the seaweed that was blown in from the sea one day was not removed and looked unsightly; it led to sandflies. This did not ruin the holiday at all, but looked unsightly and was not pleasant. We appreciate that this is a small detail in the big scheme of things, but hopefully this can be rectified going forward as an everyday routine as it once was. The leaves from the tree by the pool again were left and again is difficult when the old leaves are falling constantly. As a suggestion could there be sun umbrellas by the pool for the sun beds and could the broken sun beds be discarded. Just very minor suggestions. I cannot wait to return and I miss the fun and joy this place gives me. Hope to see you all soon. Xxxx
