I have stayed in many Marriott properties, including Courtyards. This stay, the room was humid. Not as clean as it should’v been. Not sure what the issue was. Stains on the chair and on one of the bedspreads. Marriott can do better. Stay elsewhere when I’m next to town.

I have stayed at this hotel twice. I like it. The hotel is clean, does not have any odors, the staff is profession and the beds are comfortable. On my recent trip, I had a late check in. I received my card (key) and attempted to enter the room. The key did not work. I went back to the front desk and had the card re-keyed. I tried to enter my room, and the key worked. I opened the door, turned on the light and saw luggage and what appeared to be feet in the bed. I apologized and quickly tuned off the light and closed the door. I told the desk about it, they apologized and stated it must have been some sort of glitch in the computer. I received my new card and room assignment and a $10 discount for breakfast the next morning, which I did not use as we woke up after breakfast.

Stand a night while having painting done and so we could meet up with friends for dinner. Reserved a two room king suite with balcony. Front desk person (a woman) was fantastic and friendly at check-in. Lobby had Starbucks and a bar as well as breakfast in morning. She said they also serve appetizers/bar food on some days. Anyway, room was quite large, nice amenities, comfy bed and living room. Balcony overlooked courtyard and I81. Noisy with door open but, once shut, you're never know a major interstate was outside. Would've been nice to have couple small chairs for balcony but am sure there's a safety issue there. AC worked well...kept the room nice and chilly. Bathroom and all rooms were clean and well-appointed. Pretty quiet for a hotel...could hear doors shutting but not too bad. Had to get up early and get going to check out but very happy with this stay.

I really wanted to give this hotel 5 stars because it was VERY nice and we really enjoyed our stay, but it lacked a couple of small things which I'll explain. We stayed 2 nights so we could attend the NHRA drag race on Friday. It was a lovely hotel close to the sister city Bristol, TN, only 20 minutes away. The room was beautiful and very clean, especially the carpets! (I have had issues with dirty carpets in hotels in the past.) We had a lovely, comfortable king-sized bed, large tv and a nice stylish chair & footstool in addition to a desk & chair. The room was beautiful. The bathroom was clean and looked newly done. I have no idea how old the hotel is, but everything was clean. There was a refrigerator that wasn't exactly cold and there was no way to adjust it, but there was an ice machine just around the corner from our room, so we used our cooler to keep our drinks cold. There wasn't a microwave in the room, which we didn't exactly need, but we had some leftovers from dinner, and it would have been nice to warm them up later. There was a coffee maker in the room, as the hotel lobby did not offer complimentary hot water or coffee because there was a Starbucks across the checking desk. I just needed hot water for a cup of tea and didn't bother with the coffee maker. There was no breakfast offered with the stay, but there were plenty of choices nearby. The location was convenient to everything we needed. I never stayed in a Courtyard before, so I consider the cost a bit pricey. It may have been the dates we stayed as many drivers & pit crew were there also. I'm not sure when this hotel was built, but everything looked new.

(Employee) Justin was amazing. There were 4 people ahead of me, and ALL of us were checked in just 5 minutes. Many Hotels take 15 minutes for one person, so I expected to wait an hour. He was efficient, polite, fast, and deserves a promotion to management.

Nice hotel close to old town Bristol. Could use a facelift. I've stayed at this property a number of times, never let down. The staff, is excellent, and the cleanliness of the entire hotel excellent. The hotel sits near I85 so ask for a room facing the front. Dozens of fast food places nearby.

Excellent front desk reception - Raymond was very helpful. I checked in extremely late and was obviously tired. Raymond answered all of my questions and shared the hotel information in a kind way. Like I said, I was beyond tired because I had driven across the state of TN. It was nice to be greeted with a smile.

If you want a quiet, NO BUG place to stay then don’t stay here. Oh if you want them to answer the phone too don’t stay here. I called 15 times and it just rang and rang till the call cut off. Imagine you have no service and call your family from the room phone to tell them where you are and then your family has an emergency, good luck getting a call on your room phone BECAUSE THEY DONT ANSWER! I called Marriott customer support and they tried to call them as well and no one answered. I tried to get the sister hotel next door to call and no answer. I didn’t want to write a review to tell you there are bugs in room 502, but YOU WOULDN’T ANSWER YOUR PHONE!!!
Response from Property: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our property. I would like to apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay. We unfortunately had an equipment issue with our phone system that has been since corrected preventing calls coming through to the front desk. We understand how frustrating the issues you experienced can be and we are taking all necessary steps to prevent any similar issues from occurring. We hope that you will stay with us again when you are in the area so we can deliver the stay experience you deserve.

Stayed overnight while traveling in the Bristol area. Decent hotel for a one-night stay and seemed to be one of the better options in the area. My room was fine - clean. Hotel staff was helpful. The only downside for my visit was not many food options nearby in walking distance. However, I would stay here again if in the area.

We are traveling and checked in late. The guy working the front desk was so kind and cheerful for it to be so late! The room was very clean, and all the staff, friendly and professional. As a bonus, there is a Starbucks in the lobby and the lady working was awesome!
Response from Property: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our property. We are pleased to hear about your wonderful interactions with all of our staff. Our goal is to always deliver the best in customer service no matter what time of day. It was a pleasure to have you stay with us and we look forward to having you stay with us again.

Stayed overnight as I traveled to Nashville. Decent for a nights stay. My room was clean. Hotel staff was helpful. A short drive to downtown Bristol. I don't have anything negative to say. I did not have any problems.

Very disappointed with our stay, and we having been staying here 1-2 times per year since 2907 to visit family. Arrived Wednesday afternoon for a funeral of Thursday. We came back after the funeral to a clean room and fresh towels and all seemed great as usual here. On Friday we slept in and had the do not disturb sign out and took it down when we left the room, maids cart was right outside our fiir. Good timing we thought. Came back tonight to a room that had not been touched, no clean towels, no coffee, nothing. Went to call front desk, phone completely inoperable. Went down to front desk and was told if we put do not disturb sign out room would be skipped that day(never had that happen in any hotel I’ve stayed at) we were here last July 2022 and all was normal. Was told if we needed fresh towels we had to tell front desk every day (but our phone didn’t work) It was ‘part of their COVID policy’, they said - but again this policy was not spelled out any where in the room. We told them our phone was not working. “We know” they said! But no apology. We’ve stayed here many many times since 2007- and always had a good stay and they had wonderful, friendly staff. This trip the mattress was terrible and hurt my back, water leaked around the shower curtain no matter how careful we were with the shower curtain, no clothes hook in the bathroom and there was SO MUCH condensation in the room after every shower - the ceiling had water droplets everywhere and even the sink area would get condensation. Be warned - the shower tub is SLICK! I slipped three times and really worried about my 84 yr old mother falling. She tried to keep one hand on the grab bars while showering. The Iron did not work very well and it has NOT been a good stay with all these issues. The hotel was fine last July, but if they aren’t going to clean the rooms and provide fresh towels- we probably will go elsewhere for our visits to Bristol. It’s such a shame- we have stayed here SO many times and been happy. At $140 a night we NOW feel ripped off. Not the service we are used to with Marriot.
Response from Property: ohiopattie, Thank you for your comments. We thank you for your loyalty to the Marriott as well as the Bristol Courtyard. There has been a few things that have changed since COVID. We have never went through a DND sign unless the guest stops by to ask us to go in the room. We only are doing stayovers if the guest request there room to be cleaned. Most guest prefer us not to go in the room during their stay and ask for us to just towels and trash. I do apologize that this wasn't communicated to you upon check in. We do hope you will stay with us when you are back this way.

Called the Titanium line to book direct, room available no issues. Got to hotel, parking lot very dirty maybe 8 cars in the lot at 4:30 PM on Monday. Trash in front entrance, cig butts everywhere. Employee not in any type of uniform with a hoody draped over her and total dishuffled. Asked for an upgrade because of Titanium Elite politely, her reply “Nope nothing available” Ahhhhh OK there’s no cars in parking lot? Bristo can we get something to eat “Doubt it, if they show up maybe we’re short staffed” Ok then a restaurant near by “they’re all closed and the rest are terrible” so far feeling the love! Nothing available for AM services either also Tuesday morning maybe 20 cars in parking lot. I’ve stayed here many times not sure what has happened but this is now removed from my stay preference. Thank you
Response from Property: We are very sorry your recent experience was not up to standard. Our Bistro has actually been open every morning from 6:30 to 9:30 am. Also, we have been extremely busy and sold out nearly every night. If you could contact us directly, maybe we can make this up to you. Thank you.

Pros---Nice check in person, nice room, great shower. Cons---lousy check out person, bed was too soft from overuse and needed to be replaced, breakfast was not complimentary, you had to purchase it from a kitchen/bar area, and the prices were overpriced...thankfully, there were enough fast food places around to satisfy us for breakfast...if I spend $150 for a room, a breakfast, and a good one, should be complementary, at least like it was in the other 7 hotels I stayed in, in my latest trip...I expect better from a Marriott hotel, this was quite disappointing, and will cause me to choose other hotels in the future...
Response from Property: 55JC55, I'm happy you were pleased with some of the aspects of our hotel. I do not have any info on what room you stayed in so I can not address the bed being too soft--many of our mattresses have been replaced recently. I also apologize for the staff member who was rude upon check out. As to the breakfast, many Marriott properties do include breakfast, but the Courtyards have the Bistro so breakfast is not included at any Courtyard property. I do apologize that you were not aware of this.
