Visited to settle offspring into University. The best feature for me was the small lockable hotel garage, which meant a car full of student ‘stuff’ could be safely left overnight- gave tremendous peace of mind. Staff were really friendly and helpful. There was a reliable lift. Racks restaurant also had responsive, efficient staff, and the food was palatable. I expected the location to be much quieter than was the case, there was a lot of noise from outside, including happy drunks and traffic. Whiteladies road, with a wide choice of cafes and restaurants is within walking distance and Clifton village and The Downs a short drive away. On-road parking is mainly permit for residents and pay & display parking is extremely limited. We booked single rooms for a short stay, but they were extremely small, so if staying longer, you would definitely want a larger room. Overall, a good place. The secure parking was the outstanding feature for me.

A lovely building with a nice forecourt area, reception was very welcoming, bright and cheerful. All the staff we spoke to were lovely and helpful. The only bad point was not having a car park, but they do offer discount on the nearby public car parks.

Great location just by Temple Mead Station and a short walk to the 'bright lights of Bristol' Staff are very helpful especially the gentleman behind the front desk who helped us get a taxi on the 'wet' graduation day. Staff at the bar especially the young lady who put in the hours there were very personable and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked. Highly recommend this mid priced hotel

My partner and I have just returned from a very enjoyable weekend in Bristol(19th-21st Aug). We stayed here back in July this year so decided to return. We recommended the hotel to two friends who came and stayed there as well. We had room 213 which is at the back of the building but as we only needed the room to rest it didn't matter. The room was clean and very comfortable with a good shower. Check in was simple and the staff were very pleasant. We like the idea of the hotel having its own ironing room which we used whilst there. We used the bar on the Friday night when we returned to the hotel, Two double Hendrick gins and a mixer was nearly £20.00 ! But I suppose that's city prices for you. We are looking forward to returning in October for another enjoyable time. Thankyou to you all at Ibis Temple Quay.

Whilst I can't fault the basics, we unfortunately had very loud guests on our floor, staying across multiple rooms, who were partying until 4am. Doors opening/closing, shouting, and laughing. When I went to reception to complain, it was down to just one young girl to go up and ask them to be quiet, which I feel is unfair on her (why no security?) £85 for one night, I really expect to be able to sleep at least.
Easily accessible from both the M4 and M5 motorways and just 8 miles from the city centre. Bristol Parkway railway station is only 3 miles from the hotel and has direct services to London Paddington. Comfy well cleaned room and bathroom. Lacks a fridge which would have been welcome. Decent gym and the swimming pool is a great way to stay active away from home. Staff all good and seem well trained and personable Restaurant is poor for choice, quality and expensive- just parted with nearly £6 for a pint followed by £17 for a risotto which had nearly zero flavour served so fast it must’ve been microwaved. Breakfasts are good with decent hot and cold choice

Would love to give this hotel a 5 star excellent, but in fairness to the hotel, a large group of guests arrived with about every lamborghini, maclaren, and ferrari sport car in existance who were very noisy.
Now don't get me wrong I love.the sound of fast cars, but running down the corridor at 2 in the morning and yelling ” is it this way?”. Then being woken up at 6am with people doing the same thing I considered a bit unsocial.
So really the.hotel is great, fantastic breakfast, comfortable room and the restaurant is fantastic.
It gets let down by guests.
Oh the pool and spa were worth.the extra cost.
Very helpful and friendly staff.

At first check-in, staff said my booking’s payment was failed, I showed my booking confirmation with clearly stated payment successful, then he printed a confirmation for me to sign but I found that’s another one’s booking… totally another name…
The 2nd print out was just showing my name without another personal information and I was told it’s okay to sign…
Once I entered my room, there’s no bath tub, I called the concierge and claimed that when I booked this room type, photo clearly showed there’s bath tub and that’s why I chose this more expensive room type, staff just told me only Superior King room type offered bath tub…
When I tried to take a shower, there’s no shower gel & face tissue in the toilet… what a big surprise that a so called 4 stars hotel could provide such service standard…
I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone going to BATH for a visit…
And what’s more, this is my Birthday trip with more than 3 hrs drive from the North, they really gave me a BIG surprise!!

Outstanding
GGuest UserWe arrived on a late flight from Portugal with a particular room booked which we had done through a third party booking service (queen). The hotel was clearly very busy and we were put into a room with twin double beds. This was not ideal and we asked the receptionist if it was possible to have the room we had booked. She moved us to a much nicer room (same footprint but better layout which meant I could share a bed with my husband!). This was a real 5/5 from us because despite an initial problem the really kind and professional receptionist went out of her way to fix it, and also comped us a couple of drinks which was unexpected and massively appreciated. It has made me much more likely to choose this chain again, knowing that a small hiccup will be dealt with nicely. Great staff. Room was comfortable and well proportioned and I like the fact that the toiletries are in dispensers so less plastic waste! The bar was lovely as well with really nice common areas to relax. Late night bar staff were charming and friendly. Well done Hilton!
GGuest UserThe most enjoyable food I had was in River Grill restaurant and the room with a nice harbor view. I would say that this is one of the best hotels in Bristol. They really look after you and always make sure that you have a great time. I had complimentary early check-in with an upgrade, which really made me feel welcomed. I will be back very soon, in June.
GGuest UserHave used this hotel many times in the past when seeing a show in the Hippodrome. It’s one of the few hotels in Bristol with a decent car park on site (£12 per day). It’s a 15 minute walk to the Hippodrome and easily do able. Outside the hotel can be found some cafes and a pub. The hotel hasn’t really changed much over the years. The Novotel sign has worn off the front door but otherwise the interior is the same since I visited it a few years ago. The room (114) was at the rear of the hotel, clean, large comfy bed and most importantly it was quiet at night. Pillows were very hard however and a choice of pillow in the room would have been good. I also have to knock a star off because the staff at reception were not the most friendly. No conversation, no mention of belonging to the loyalty club, just all very formal. That’s not a problem if that’s what you like but a little more friendliness/warmth would of been nice. No one asked how our stay was when we left. Otherwise another lovely stay at this hotel.
JJupiterMeowMeowThree major advantages: 1) The room is really large and generous! Even the bathroom is very big and has a bathtub 2) The view from the top floor is great 3) The location is very good, just downstairs is the bus stop, and the airport bus stop is a two-minute walk away
Three major shortcomings: 1) The room is too old and not well maintained. 2) There is no socket at the bedside, which is inconvenient. 3) The heating in the room can be turned up to the maximum to ensure that it is ”not cold” but cannot be said to be ”warm”.
Breakfast is still a typical English breakfast.
In addition, the front desk is also very friendly, but when I asked for slippers, the final reply was ”There are no slippers” (??)
GGuest UserWe visited Bristol to celebrate my birthday weekend, so we booked a “deluxe” king size room for three nights. On arrival the hotel was very impressive with good car parking facilities and a very classy reception area. Check-in was friendly and efficient. There was just a slight confusion over the late check-out time – the website said 4pm, the receptionist thought it was 3pm. The reception is well attended and they were highly responsive when dealing with an issue with one of the lifts. There was a loud noise inside the lift one evening between floor 4 & 5 (a bit of a worrying sound of metal hitting on metal). It was great to see a lift engineer on-site bright and early the next morning attending to it. The bedroom was very spacious with lots of storage, a very comfortable super-king size bed and a clean bathroom. However, the main problem with the room was how dimly lit it was and the scruffy state of the furniture. It was difficult to see well enough in the room to put make-up on, which meant I had to wait for my partner to finish in the bathroom before I could use the better illuminated bathroom mirror. The dark wooden furniture was badly scuffed and warped; the chair was scruffy with peeling leatherette - surprisingly tired furniture for a Deluxe room. There was a lot of damage to the bathroom door (big dent in the wooden panel), scratches in the sink and broken robe hooks – not exactly deluxe fittings. Also the bathrobes were very small (approx size 14). When we came to pack up to leave we had to get a torch out to check in cupboards etc to make sure we hadn’t left anything behind – it was too dark to see inside the cupboards without a torch even though we had the curtains open and lights on. Unfortunately it was then that we saw just how extremely dusty the room was. The lampshades were very dusty. I doubt the area beneath the desk/dressing table had been vacuumed for months (lots of clumps of dust in the area where you put your feet). We were disturbed by just how much dust we had spent the last three nights sleeping with so, out of curiosity, we moved the bed to check underneath and discovered another very thick build up of dust and a roast potato from a previous guest’s dinner stuck to the carpet. There is an Eco option to not have housekeeping done each day which we welcomed at the time, as it meant we didn’t have to wonder when the cleaner would come in if we wanted to have a lie in. However, if I’d have seen the levels of dust in the room on arrival, then I would have asked for a cleaner to come in and give it all a good vacuuming. Apart from the disappointing dust and shabby furniture we enjoyed our stay because of the extremely comfy bed, excellent breakfast in the delightful Kiln restaurant and on-site car parking. It’s also a good location for visiting the city. But I’d need some reassurance that the housekeeping issues will be attended to before we contemplate a return visit.
GGuest UserWe needed to be near the Cathedral for a Graduation ceremony and the Ibis was a 5 minute walk away. Reception on arrival was quick & efficient. The bedroom (320) and bathroom were clean and appeared to have been totally renovated very recently. Everything worked as it should. There was some background noise from the air-con on a nearby building but this did not prove to be a problem for us when the window was closed. A very fullsome buffet breakfast was enjoyed. We took advantage of the secure luggage room after vacating the bedroom. All the staff we encountered were very pleasant, polite and helpful. We parked at the nearby Britannia Car Park (which was clean and well lit) and the Ibis reception processed our parking ticket which resulted in up to 24 hour parking costing £10 instead of £17. Checkout was painless. Would we stay again? Yes - but for only one or two nights.
AAsmiRuYha as always the best..we booked a 3 person room. The location is besides the harbour just in centre of all the hustle bustle as well as quietness! Only one downside the room that is separate than other dorm rooms is located on the top level. The heater or some pipe kept on making noise when ever the winds were strong or any flight went from above (I guess)
Positive side: the room comes with skylight..you are able to see stars and moon on a clear night..thus you can sleep glazing at the stars :)
GGuest UserWe had the loveliest time here the staff were so lovely and friendly. It was about a 30 minute walk into town and if you are travelling into town at rush hour walking is the best way as the traffic was pretty bad.
The room we stayed in was beautiful and clean and tidy and we were blown away by the service from the staff it really was lovely infact I was shocked to find they were part of a group and not independent as it felt the kind of service you would get from an independent. The bar and restaurants were lovely and the building was so beautiful inside and out we had a really lovely stay toiletries were provided and they smelt beautiful. thanks so much we had a lovely time.
LLudengxiadekafeiThe room is clean, the location is good, and the breakfast is rich. Mainly because eating out is very expensive, and the waiters are also very enthusiastic. I hope I will come back in the future. It's just a few minutes' walk from the main road.
GGuest UserIt was a nice hotel on the whole, but the room had water/damp stains on the wall and could have been cleaned better (few hairs and dust etc). Staff were all very friendly and the facilities were average, as you would expect from a budget hotel.
