I liked the hotel. The location is convenient because it is within walking distance from the Northern Railway Station, from where you can go to the airport or other cities in Romania. The room is very clean and spacious. Great room design. It's nice to be in such a hotel. The downside is that there is only one trash bin in the bathroom. One more bucket wouldn't hurt. The Internet works without problems. The refrigerator is working.

The room is very large, and it is located 10 minutes away from the subway station, so accessibility is good. However, communication is difficult as the receptionist does not speak English.

Normal for an overnight stay before a plane. There wasn't enough blanket. And the reception is not 24/7.

Okay, we were here for 10 days in July. I will start with the positives and then other areas that could be improved. The room that we stayed in was big and airy, good air-conditioning, clean, I can see that the tranzzit hotel are making improvements i.e. new bathrooms, clean and modern. Night staff was friendly quite close to old town, €3 in an Uber, which I thought was great value.. sidenote, Ubers are cheap and reliable in Bucharest. Some of the day staff tried to be friendly but lack of English made it hard to communicate. Now onto the not so positive where the hotel is situated. There is a lack of restaurants and local amenities. The rooms : Simple thing, like a waste paper bin in your room. There was none. Also, we did not have a wardrobe in our room where we could hang or clothes are clothes had to stay mostly in our suitcases. or hung over a chair and we had a bracelet and a brand-new top go missing from our room. I did report it but nothing was done.. there is no coffee making facilities in your room or or a place in the hotel where you could get a coffee we had to take an Uber into old town. One particular member of the reception staff treated the hotel home from home. She was never behind the reception. She was always in the lounge area smoking drinking coffee and she had a dog that would bark at you. You always felt that if you had to ask her a question that you were interrupting her conversation with her male friend or interrupting her on her mobile, very unprofessional. And the stink of smoke through the hotel wasn’t nice either. This is an honest and fair view of the tranzzit hotel.

I was very bad experience. Firsts of all went we arrived even though the girl at the reception said our room was ready it wasn’t we didn’t had toilet paper and the soap were already used we had to ask for new one and we had to ask everyday for a new toilet paper because the cleaner was not an option. Second we room was cold and you couldn’t use the A/C because you had to pay extra for it. Also even though we didn’t had a cleaner all this day some how our iron for the hair is missing they still out iron. It was one of the worst places I have ever been.

Stuff at the hotel are very nice but not all receptionists speak English or any other language. Good think about the area is that it is close to Railway station (15 min by walk) and ca 40 minutes by walk. Otherwise there is absolutely nothing in that area. I got renovatef room which would be great if it would not smell that badly. I was told that it is the glue from the carpet and should dissapear. There has bern though old little fridge witj mold. No mirror in the bathroom and no curtain in showet. Which is probably Romanian standard. Bed was so hard that I got pain in my back. Take a mask with you. If you get room nr 102, there will be light whole night in your room from the neon sign on the building beside the window. Curtains don’t help. They are not whide enough.

When I arrived at Hotel Tranzzit there was absolutely nobody manning the desk. Granted, it was around 11pm, but the website lists no set check-in time limit (just that it begins at 2pm). I waited around 45 mins for someone to show up, and the person who did arrive was not very friendly or communicative. After some back and forth I was told that they had no record of my booking — however I had just received a phone call from them the day before (no message left) so they definitely had my information. The night receptionist showed me the personal information of everyone else staying there to ask if I was staying with those guests, which seemed like a breach of privacy. He asked if I had paid yet, and I said no, but he gave me the keys and let me into the room without paying. Very strange check-in experience. Overall, the room was not bad. Unfortunately I was in the room directly beside reception and you can hear absolutely everything, so I was awoken every day by the phone ringing or people chatting. The daytime receptionists were very friendly although did not speak English, and I made sure to pay for my stay in the morning. My room had one large bed, a closet, a bathroom, a window to an outdoor seating area, and a television — although I never tried the TV as you could hear everything from the lobby and vice versa. No hot water on the first day but the second day was fine. Soap and shower gel is included in the bathroom. No fridge or kettle in the room but there is a kitchen. Breakfast is not included but one coffee per day is allowed if you ask the reception to prepare it. Wi-fi is uncharacteristically spotty for Romania and would connect and disconnect every minute or so. The great thing about this place is not only price but location. You are only around 8 mins from Gara de Nord and there is a laundromat on the way as well. Lots of Mega Image grocery stores nearby and even a nice park. Metro, etc. are all located conveniently. It's very easy to walk to the Old City and the area with the Atheneum. Overall, I didn't hate my stay here. It was a bit awkward and strange but the daytime receptionists were very sweet and feigned being impressed with my almost-non-existent Romanian, hahaha. I would stay here again for one or two nights if I was travelling by train.
