My Husband and I checked in on Sept 21st and were greeted by an awesome amazing woman named Rose! She literally made us feel so welcome and like she's known us our whole lives! We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful room and will definitely be back! Thank you Rose for making our stay amazing!!!

Pros: staff is nice, room is large, Cons: not much works including ice machine and fire system! Pool is closed. Plastic sheeting hanging from ceiling, crumbling sidewalks so bad they’re a trip hazard. One of the five nights, there was a storm and the hotel had no power. They were reluctant to provide flashlights. Then an alarm went off and an automated voice said an emergency was reported and we needed to evacuate. We all went in our pajamas into the rain and sat in car. The next morning I asked what the emergency was and the desk clerk said there was a tornado. Why would you send everyone outside into a tornado? (I don’t think there was a tornado). No one came to the exits to check on folks or provide flashlights.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Four Points by Sheraton in Buffalo Grove. I came in for four nights. The room was very large and comfortable. The bedding was very nice with lots of great, fluffy pillows. But the best part of the stay was the staff. I got to know several by name, including Rose, Maryjo and Nancy. There were also a couple of others that I did not learn there names. But all were helpful and nice as could be. I strongly recommend you stay here if travelling to this area. Thanks for a great stay!

The site said there was a shuttle. There was no shuttle or effort to give my family a short ride to the hotel on arrival. Both the self-service washer and the dryer were out of order during our stay. There was no towel bar in the room. The front would not lend a drying rack or one wasn’t available. An unpleasant clerk at the desk declined to give me a blank sheet of printing paper despite Sheraton’s policy of printing out documents for guests. Instead, he gave me scrap paper which had printing on the backside. One of those printouts had another guest’s check-in information on it. Then, since I wanted to cut the parts that had writing on them. The front desk clerk initially refused to lend me the scissors that were on his desk. When I said I would use it right there at the desk, he lent it to me with reluctance as though it were keys to the palace. The hallway on the second floor adjacent to our room was hot.

We stay at the 4 Points by Sheraton in Buffalo Grove Illinois about 5 or 6 times a year to visit our family who live nearby. We are always pleased with our stay. The rooms are large and quite comfortable. The staff , especially Maryjo Trujillo, goes out of their way to make us feel at home. The breakfast service is excellent and the waitstaff is very solicitous. I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. Thanks again Maryjo!! Barry Levine
