Bugibba Hotels with Airport pickup service

I traveled to Malta alone and chose the Primera Hotel as one of the cheapest options in Malta. In principle, the travel guide says that Valletta is the best place to stay, but I would not agree with this, as it is an hour from St. Paul's Bay to Valletta, an hour to the ferry to Gozo and half an hour to Rabat/Mdina. Excursions such as to the Blue Grotto only go via Valletta and it takes 2 hours by bus. However, you can combine this with a travel route via Valletta or as the last spot before the airport. The hotel was clean, the rooms were more than adequately equipped and for €8 you could book breakfast on site, which was a bit English but had something for everyone. The only thing that could be difficult is being able to eat more than just fruit and bread as a vegan.

Starting with the information - we stayed at So City as a young couple (who arent particularly into nightclubs/bars) to see Matla for the first time over a week. I have given this a 'benefit-of-the-doubt' rating due to the hotel being incredibly new. We picked So City Hotel because of the value, it was incredibly well priced. I'd imagine this is a strategy due to it being so new but it was certainly well worth the price we paid. On to the hotel as a whole - I feel this is definitely aimed toward capturing people coming to Malta for some night life. Its positioned so that no more than 10 seconds from leaving the lobby, you can be in a bar, and their are some nice bars surrounding. That said, we werent there for that - but this location also meant that finding an evening meal, or a quick early night drink was incredibly easy. Exploring the island was also very easy from here, Valletta was a very short journey, and as we had opted to rent a car, there was a carpark about 5 minutes walk away (Pengardens) which is reasonably priced for over night parking, and we never struggled for a space. The room was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect and bedding very soft and comfortable. Our upgraded room was also incredibly spacious. The theming is a nice touch and makes the room a bit more characterful and individual. Staying on the 7th floor, there was minimal noise at night, altough id be concerned if we needed to keep the window open.... The black out curtains were also amazing for keep the room dark for a little bit of extra sleep. Constructive criticism for the room would be: The shower tempurture is difficult - the hottest setting is insanely hot (my other half loves hot showers but this was too much for her also) and it wouldnt go cold, just cooler, it also seemed to get colder through out the shower and you found yourself adjusting. There is not a lot of storage at all for longer stays. This is perhaps a by product of it feeling aimed towards 'nightlifers' who might stop 3 nights or so. I would perhaps ask reception for additional hangers if you have plenty of clothes for a longer stay. The mini fridge, altough useful, is not big enough to put larger water bottles in, which can be annoying. The aircon unit is situated in a place which means it blows directly at the bed. I tried to play with the control but there was no way to adjust it that I could find. Im trying to cool the room, not refridgerate myself. The timer on the aircon also didnt seem to work, so setting it the blow for 30 mins whilst i went to sleep just didnt seem to work. The TV is not a full smartTV which is a shame. Just channels and an internet browser, which are never nice to navigate around.... On to other notes: Breakfast is just what you need. Its not an all out buffett where there is everything you could dream of, but there is more than enough and a few items cycle so you can expect a slightly different breakfast each morning. Upon arrival, We received rose petals and a spread on the bed as when we arrived it was our anniversary. Which was such a lovely touch The hotel staff are all really helpful and attentive, they can’t do enough for you. They answered any questions we had about transport, things to do, shops etc. The food and cocktails at the hotel are all really great however maybe slightly overpriced but this is to be expected. Please note this hotel is a party hotel. We stayed for 4 nights and only 1 of the nights there was not an event happening. It wasn’t a problem for us as we usually spent our days outside of the hotel but when we returned and the pool area is overcrowded it can be a bit annoying. They also had a few problems with the power as many times the music was cut off and we lost power in our rooms. Despite this, I would stay here again as when there are no events on the hotel is a lovely chilled vibe. The rooms were cleaned daily and everything was kept absolutely spotless. We really enjoyed our stay at Bora Bora resort and will more than likely be returning in the future. Thank you.

Me and my husband were guests of Solana hotel and Spa for the past week and i have to say that our experience was incredible. Regarding accommodation we had a decent room which was always properly cleaned, the only problem that we faced was the thin walls from which we could hear everything going from other rooms. Regarding the food and beverage department, we had various of restaurants to choose such as the Tosca, Prickly Pear, Belini and Top Deck, where we always had a nice dining experience served by polite and kind staff, however a person who left us an impeccable impression was Sara. She always greeted us with a smile, made us amazing cocktails which shows that she is quite good at her job, we enjoyed talking to her. Overall we are satisfied with our stay in the hotel, and would definitely recommend it to others!!!

Struttura un po' vecchiotta ma efficiente . La camera era molto ampia (davvero enorme) , con balcone . No minibar e no kit per il bagno ; mi è stata fornita sono una mini soap bar (quindi se prenotate vi consiglio di portare i vostri campioncini) . La colazione è discreta . Facendo un bilancino qualità prezzo non posso assolutamente dire nulla , anzi . Unica pecca che mi ha davvero fatta rimanere parecchio male , nonostante io non sia una persona ”schifettosa” , è stato il water in cui ho ahimè trovato piccoli residui di escrementi (facilmente rimovibili con lo spazzolone) . Questo per me, come per chiunque del resto, indice di pulizia non approfondita ed efficiente !

It was so good that I thought it was a pity that I only stayed for one night. The Mediterranean restaurant located inside the resort was not very tasty, but the breakfast was very good. It was an English breakfast buffet (sausage, bacon, eggs, etc.), and there was also a little Turkish breakfast menu (ham, cheese, tomato, cucumber). The staff were friendly and the amenities were good~ It's nice to see nearby Bujiba.

We recently returned to the Paradise Bay resort a year on from getting married there on the beach outside the Porto Lounge. The hotel is amazing, whatever room you have you are going to have a view either of Paradise bay with its beach and constant coming and goings of yachts and speed boats, people swimming in the clear blue waters or on the other side, looking out over the south Comino straight with all its water traffic and the ferry port with the constant activity of the ferries going over to Gozo. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, well equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, fridge and TV, although English channels are few and far between, and are well cleaned everyday. It may not be to everyone’s choice as it is a little isolated but the excellent bus service from right outside the door can take you wherever you want to be around this beautiful island and buses run every few minutes and for just 2 euros you can go to the next stop or the other end of the island, can’t fault them. The hotel has a choice of four swimming pools, three outdoor and one indoor, including a small jacuzzi, all are well maintained, clean and certainly no shortage of sun loungers. The inside public areas are clean and comfortable and the restaurant the same, however, although the quality of the food served in the restaurant is good, choices can be a little limited and sometimes we found the table turnaround was a bit chaotic, with people wandering around looking for a clean prepared table, that said we never had to wait too long and enjoyed everything we did have to eat. All in all we would thoroughly recommend the Paradise Bay resort to anyone and we will certainly be returning there in the future.

Myself and my fiancé visited this resort and it was an excellent hotel, in a lovely part of Malta. The hotel was very clean, with very nice and obliging staff who were extremely helpful. The breakfast offered a great choice of foods including continental style, cooked traditional English breakfast foods, as well as cold meats and cheeses with an array of pastries. The room was lovely, with a comfortable bed and lovely shower and bath facility, as well as a balcony to relax on. The resort has its own private beach area which is only a short walk away, as well as having 2 outdoor swimming pools. The housekeeping staff were extremely efficient, and always left the rooms looking fresh and new. The bar area is very welcoming and relaxing providing a good choice of cocktails at a fair price. I would 100% come back here, and although this is my first visit to Malta, so I do not have anything to compare it to in terms of other hotels in Malta, I would say that it has been a brilliant experience so far staying here and have enjoyed every minute of it

I booked a small room but gave me an oversized room. At that time, it was difficult to renovate and turn corners. Hot water pressure is enough, the scenery outside the window is invincible, there is a cat in the lobby, fun!
