Crowne Plaza SAN FRANCISCO AIRPORT by IHG

Not too far from the airport, and there's a free shuttle, but it's not very frequent. The hotel itself is a bit old; you can see signs of age on the facilities. But what can you do? Hotels in America are expensive; Asia is much better. Also, the shower gel in the bathroom ran out and wasn't refilled; I had to go to the front desk to ask for it myself.

This has to be the worst Crowne Plaza I've ever stayed at. Let's start with the airport pickup service. We had a lot of luggage, so we thought a pickup would be convenient. However, the driver asked passengers for a service fee. I had my child get our luggage, and though we had three suitcases, he only handled two initially. The third one was right there, but he refused to touch it, only helping foreign guests, and happily greeting those who tipped well. My child had to wait until last to get the final suitcase. I originally intended to give a normal tip, but his behavior made me so angry that I didn't. He left visibly displeased. Interestingly, the female driver for the departure service didn't ask for a tip at all. Now, about the room. It was incredibly dirty. After showering at night, I noticed bloodstains on a large towel that hadn't been properly cleaned. Luckily, I'd brought my own towel, so I didn't bother with it. But when I pulled back the duvet, the sheets also had unwashed stains. I called housekeeping to ask for new sheets, but no one answered after a long time. Then I called the front desk, and again, no one answered for ages. The next morning, we needed to take the 9 AM shuttle to the airport. We went downstairs at 8:45, thinking 15 minutes would be enough. However, only one of their three elevators was working, and we had to share it with housekeeping carts. It took forever to get down, and by then, our shuttle had already left. They made us wait in the lobby for another 45 minutes for the next one. To top it all off, there were insects on the ceiling of the hotel room, and no complimentary water. When I asked, they said water would be charged. This is the worst hotel, and it was so expensive. Absolutely infuriating!

The hotel has a restaurant serving burgers and sandwiches, which was great for dinner, as there aren't any other restaurants nearby.

Every time I visit San Francisco, I make sure to stay at this hotel first. It's convenient, efficient, quiet, and clean, with excellent service. Whether it's dining at the downstairs restaurant or arranging airport transfers, the experience is always great.

The location is fantastic! It's a short walk to the San Francisco Bay waterfront promenade, which is long and offers beautiful views. Right next to the hotel, there's a public baseball field and a golf course. The baseball field always has kids playing, and on weekends, there are even children's games. If you walk along the promenade for 10-15 minutes, you'll find two charming Western-style restaurants, though they only open after 3 PM.
