Although I had clearly indicated I needed, for medical reasons, a room without carpets, rugs etc., such a room was not available... Later I could move to such one, but much smaller. There was confusion about prices, although I had the same breakfast every day, five different prices showed up, some items on some days not available.

Wonderful birthday stay.
My husband and I stayed in room 6 which is rather special. It is a huge room with a lovely oval bath in the bedroom and separate shower and WC with two hand basins. There was also a desk and chair and comfy leather sofa and a TV. The chandeliers and large mirrors added a bit of glamour. We ate at the pub on our first night and enjoyed our meal and the service. The Fox Inn is ideally situated opposite the Abbey gardens which is a beautiful stroll into town. All the restaurants and amenities were in short walking distance. On Saturday there was a large market which sold a variety of goods.

Lovely trip to Bury St Edmond's
Was a very lovely hotel. Rooms where beautiful and comfortable as well as large.
Only let down was the bathroom ceiling that the Supervisor told was needing a repaint as it wasn't done correctly.
Would definitely stay there again.

Comfortable bed, perfect location
Nice large double bed which was comfortable, great having air-conditioning. Shower was a good rainfall shower.

Close to town.
Excellent superior room with plenty of space and lovely fixtures and fittings.
ideal position for access to Bury st. Edmunds town centre with the added benefit of free parking..

Comfortable room, great service and great location
This was our first time to Bury St Edmunds and our first stay in a Greene King Inn. Without doubt we'd highly recommend both. The room was comfortable and very clean. The parking very convenient, breakfast good and the service was great. Thank you to Givana and team at The Fox Inn.

Great room
Room 5 was lovely. Great big bed.
Coffee and Tea including Green Tea
One niggle. Only a rain shower over bath which is no good if you don't want to get your hair wet.
So I had a bath but the plug was really difficult to get out due to no chain on it.
Parking outside our room door.
Breakfast was plentiful and tasty.
I enjoyed smoked salmon and scambled egg the first morning and advacado with poached eggs on toast on the second. Hubby enjoyed his full English

Overall a good place to stay - we will return
We had minor issues with the bathroom (handbasin didn't retain water, loose toilet seat) but these were only minor so we could easily cope. We were immediately offered another room but we said the issues were so minor we would not change so we were offered monetary compensation.
