I highly recommend it for those having a short trip into this hotel , the space in the room is quite narrow , simple , convenient , all the things are functional except for the door buttons that are broken and cannot lock in. Please arrange maintenance to repair in future. Thank you!

Hotel location is nearby railway station.
Walking distance to penang sentral.
Near speedmart,laundry,restaurant also 7e.
But the room is small.but its okay for 2/3 days stay.

It is within walking distance from Butterworth Station. However, it is difficult to find the way out from Butterworth Station to the non-road road. I got lost and asked many people, and finally I found someone who followed me to the road, and I was finally able to get out to the road where people could walk. The hotel has a toilet ventilation fan that runs all the time, which is a bit noisy. The room is small and there is only one power outlet. In the middle of the night, the hotel's breaker must have tripped, because all the electricity in the room was cut off. I tried to go to the front desk to ask what was going on, but the elevator didn't work either. Another guest showed me the emergency staircase, so we tried to go to the front desk together. We went down to the first floor, but the door was locked and we couldn't get out. When I knocked on the door, I heard a voice on the other side, but the door didn't open, probably because the other person couldn't unlock it either. I gave up and went back to my room, and in the dark, I groped my way to the bed and lay down. Eventually the lights came on. A locked emergency escape door means you won't be able to get out in case of a fire, which can be very dangerous.

This Chariton Hotel Bagan is very clean with excellent service from the staf. The room was painted with such a good tone combination making feel spacious and relaxing. The service is excelent tho

Booked this hotel last minute due to heavy traffic and needing a place to rest overnight in Butterworth. The location is very convenient, with plenty of parking available. While the amenities are limited and the room is quite small, it’s sufficient for a simple sleepover.
However, I did notice a small cockroach in the room, which was disappointing. And, there was a noticeable smell of cigarette throughout the hotel, despite the signs/notice indicating it’s a non-smoking hotel.
