Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Byram-Jackson South, MS

Stopped here for a middle of the night stay so we didn’t see much of the hotel or use any amenities, but the room was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was far from friendly, but maybe that was just because it was so late/early. Our room door handle was the least favorite part. It was not installed properly so you could easily see into the hallway through the cutout for it in the door. The security latch was also not properly installed and served no purpose. Always take your own security devices. Breakfast was good- real dishes and standard hot breakfast buffet: eggs, sausage, biscuits, prepackaged cereal bowls, Chobani yogurt…

This was my third time staying here. It was a ver pleasant stay each time. The bed was extremely comfortable, the breakfast was just wonderful, there was a variety of cold and hot dishes to choose from with real meat bacon and large sausage patties. OMG I can’t say enough about the scrumptious COOKIES which were right on point. Staff was pleasant and friendly. I would recommend this hotel, Country inn and Suites in Byram to others looking for comfort and great breakfast!

On the surface, the hotel looks modern and updated, The breakfast area was also. BUT…….. Our mattress in Room 106 sounds strange with popping noises on the side closest to window. Front desk staff knows little about the internet. The password connection did not work, only help from staff was providing the 1 800 number. We also were told TV was a smart TV, but it was not. Approximately 7:45, No staff at front desk and no staff in the breakfast area. This is what we found: Luke warm coffee No plates No fruit Main breakfast ~ soggy biscuits and Sausage. When we left after eating, a staff person finally appeared. Certainly not a quality Country Inn or Radisson Hotel experience.

Daughter and I had a great experience at this location. Indoor pool. Very spacious room. Everything working fine. Nice variety to select from during breakfast. Added bonus was cookies, coffee or hot cocoa at any time. Close proximity to various eateries, gas and stores. Not that far from Jackson metropolitan area. Kudos for friendly professional staff. This was my second time staying here and will definitely return! Thanks for your hospitality!

We stayed in this area in order to attend a family event. The staff was very nice and accommodating so this review is not a reflection of the wonderful staff this review is to reflect poor management . The reason I am giving a 2 star is because housekeeping and the front staff was so nice. The hotel room was filthy, I had to use Clorox wipes and Lysol to clean the room due to dirt, dust, dirty microwave and dirty toilet . I attached pictures to show the bathroom sink was broken and detached from the vanity and leaking. The curtains were ripped and the light switch was cracked and broken. The bathroom was old with yellow stain maybe old paint around the mirrow. The corners in the bathroom had gross dirt that I didn’t attempt to try to clean and the entire room had a moldy odor. The walls had yellow stains and the lamp shades had brown stains on them. I also had other family members who came from out of town stay there. One family checked out the same night to go to another hotel due to the uncleanliness and mold under their bed. The other family had a moldy smelling room also and it was dirty. When housecleaning came they were nice and apologetic because they ran out of clean towels! Then dirty sheets and towels from all the rooms laid on the floor in the hallway all day until 10 that night. The hallway had an odor also. I would not stay here again and I suggest you don’t either!

This hotel is terrible. Do not stay here. We had several rooms booked while visiting the area for family member's memorial service. After checking in we found mold and mildew in all of the rooms, dried vomit, and smoke alarms with no batteries in them (major safety hazard). And on top of all that, when checking with other businesses in the area, we were told there had been reports of bed bugs here. We stayed there an hour at most and then asked to leave and get a refund. No manager was available and we were told they couldn't refund us for the first night despite the many safety and health issues present. We were told only the manager could provide a full refund. When we finally got a hold of the manager, she promised to call back with an answer about a refund and then didn't call back and avoided the remainder of the calls. The owner refused to give a refund as well once we finally got a hold of him. We were charged $125 for each room for being there an hour at most. Don't stay here unless you want your money stolen, love the smell of mildew, and the possibility of bed bugs coming home with you. What a dump.

The shower was weak and the breakfast service was poor . The staff was not helpful when we had problems with the television. Overall I would not recommend this to anyone and would not stay there again

Accommodations were unacceptable. Hotel rooms had mold in bathrooms, stains on carpet, doors off cabinet, no batteries in smoke detectors, brown stain on mattress pad. Owner of hotel finally called me Thursday when I spoke to the manager on Saturday. He proceeded to tell me he inspected every room and saw no issues, I have pictures. Told me he could have fixed the issues or changed rooms for us. He was not available or the manager upon departure. His profession did not seem important to him at all. Just would like a apology and compensation which he stated he was not going to do.

Hotel was clean. However, no internet at all and couldn’t do any work. The TV was inland out and had a child with me. No internet nor tv are apart of the hospitality industry. The front desk was no help except one person who tried to do something but i believe she said what she said to get me out her face. Or atleast she tried to really resolve the problem but she was lost.
